The PS1 version of this game was the 3rd game I ever owned.

Last week I dug up my old McLaren steering wheel and pedal kit for the PS1 and played this game. Oh the nostalgy :)

Le 3 (Hot pursuit) reste dans ma tête comme le mythe des poursuites, le premier jeu de voitures ou j'ai vraiment tout fait, meme changé les voitures par d'autres ^^ (je l'ai encore d'ailleurs =)

@arthuroc85 i know, this game was made by the magazine i monthly subscribed to "road and track" , which was one of my favorite magazines, and the game being made. then it was made famous by EA, which was good, but then by 2002 with underground changed the game, which was disappointing, and then they made most wanted, which became a relief, but then legal street racing (prostreet) was WAY outta hand, the series was ruined from there on, not even undercover could of redeemed it, NFS1 for the win

Im just glad that Criterion games are being brave enough to take the NFS franchise back to its exotic car roots with a new Hot Pursuit game, instead of making another gay ass 'Underground' game. I hated the Underground games, they were far too gimicky... they concentrated more on crappy storylines and crappy car customization rather than the actual racing.

I agree. But if you mean the PC version then I disagree, as I did not like that version. My top three in order are:

1. NFS4 High Stakes

2. NFS3 Hot Pursuit

3. NFS6 Hot Pursuit 2 (all Playstation versions)

Oh awesome then. I only play the first six games because from Underground onwards sucks.

NFS1, 2 and PU are better on PC,

while...

NFS3, 4 and 6 are better on PSX (PS2 for HP2)
