    My next line reads sda sda1 sda2 sda5 sda6. Not sdb? Is there something wrong with what I typed

  • ok can someone help me i have linux on my pc and i only have one 500gb sata hard drive and i cannot format with win xp home edition or win xp pro or win 7 disk gives me error and says cannot format hard drive but i can install linux when ever i want how do i get linux off is my hard drive bad i checked the bios everything is set the same way it was when it had win 7 on it but will not format with win 7 disc any ideas

  • I tried to use a linux format utility a while back and it was asking me to assign different partitions for things like users, etc....can everything just sit on just 1 partition? Too many partitions is confusing for me, because I'm not familiar with Linux and what each partition is for

  • I'm surprised how much like MS-DOS that procedure is! lol FDISK vs CFDISK...etc But the format is so quick!
