Firstly Swann has Panesar's place so your comment is pointless and outdated. Secondly Rashid is an "all-rounder" in the loosest sense but ask Boycott and he'll tell you the guy can't construct an innings, he tries to play a shot a ball and isn't adept enough yet at getting away with that often enough for it to count. Also Rashid's bowling is no way near good enough he lacks the control necessary for test match cricket, at the moment. In the future maybe it'll be different.

What makes Monty so addictive is his love of the game which you can see whenever he takes a wicket, even if it is someone who has "holed" out to a boundary fielder! He still has plenty of time to develop his batting (esp with the England top orfer), and that off drive was as good as anyone going around!
i wont be surpriced if soon, he becomes a better batter than Giles. He took nightwatchman dutys when Hoggy was injued and he has shown he has class. And he's only 23-24 years old.

All this and Giles still started in the first two Ashes tests against Aussie!!! What makes Monty so addictive is his love of the game which you can see whenever he takes a wicket, even if it is someone who has "holed" out to a boundary fielder! He still has plenty of time to develop his batting (esp with the England top orfer), and that off drive was as good as anyone going around!

i wont be surpriced if soon, he becomes a better batter than Giles. He took nightwatchman dutys when Hoggy was injued and he has shown he has class. And he's only 23-24 years old.
