Nice to see there's still some Spanish cultural influence in the Philippines. Greetings from Bilbao (Spain) to all those who play jai-alai.
It is nice to see that you make it a point to still play jai alai even if you are already in the US.
If I not mistaken, one of the players is Ferdie Nieto. I also practice here but not that often anymore. I also played with Gumban in PAGCOR and my dad also played with him during the ADC days. If you like I can also upload the only souvenir that I have. Socrates was also in the line up.
Yes, please upload it, i'd appreciate it very much. It's sad that Jai-Alai is gone in the philippines. If you play Jai-alai whether your good or not , you will miss the excitement, it's addictive.. just like any other sport but jai-alai is totally different,
the more you catch , the more you hit the ball, the more you want to play .
Thank you Jai -alai brother ! Send more videos and mementos of Jai-alai
Here is the link. Hope you enjoy it. My sister recorded it from her video cam while watching it in PTV 4. Medyo na edit na puro ako pero I hope you will still like it.
Sure! Madalas pa rin sila pumupunta sa Casino Espanyol usually Saturdays. See you soon! Please check my uploaded video. Keywords are Jaydee Jai Alai. Ingats!

This was taken in 2008 in Manila, right next to the Old Jai-alai onTaft Ave Manila. This is Casino Espanol Manila, it's a Spanish membership club but you don't have to be a member to play jai-alai just pay $6.00 an hr for the cancha.

as soon as i transfer it from Video8 to digital . It would be nice to play with you guys, like u said, it's a long drive. If i get a cheap plane fare, ill come and play w u guys, send me your email.
I played here also during My younger years during the 70's,but that time it was an exclusive club house for the meztiso,s and alike.fortunately i got inside and played because of ramon pineda who played pro. i started playing amateur with Gumban and tony rex, there was a lot of talent back then, i did not have a chance to turn pro.

Pinoybalut!
Yes i was a member of PAPA, from 1978
til 1980. Gumban and Soc Alaon were amateurs as well back then they were just
few yrs ahead of me. I had to come to US
in 1980 so my dream of becoming a pro
never materialised. Let me see if i can post my pic from '78 after practice.
