I believe the US political system contributes to this problem. The way the different covernment chambers have different political alliances means major domestic policies are going to struggle. Its why year after year US govt have to focus on foreign policy. If both houses have democrat majorities (or republican for that matter)ther'll be more focus on home issues and I think much less foreign.

"We all have a heart"??? That's quite naive. History books are filled with countless leaders that were completely heartless. And it's for that very reason, that I prefer to hold my government accountable. I don't want war and I'm going to continue to voice my displeasure with this president's warmongering. If that's hyperemotional then so be it. Ask those orphaned children from the Tal Afar shooting about hyperemotion!
