the earliest picts i have of a club are from the fifties they were called the boozfighters and they were customizing cars and motor cycles the car is a old merc with a chop top and a body drop and skirts that scrape the ground so low you cant see the rear tire and they look like white bikers so low customs were around way before LMR someone said that club later became the hells angels and made custom motor cycles popular. so look past the eighties to trace customizing its american as it gets.

i dont have anything against mexicans my club is most mexican and i like them all. i just get tired of hearing people say we invented low riding when they dont even know when low riding started. you think it was made popular by easy e. man that was in the 80s lowriding was popular when i started building lows in the 70s and they had already been around 20 years before that. LRM also started in the 70s it was a mexican magazine that promoted lowriding and thats what made it popular. i was there.
