Well, it isn't very songful, but it isn't too bad either. I didn't sing this very songful due to the meaning of it. But actually there are beautiful songs in Dutch, so I should take some op in my repertoire very soon.
And yes, Dutch opera's exist, definetely! And artsongs and choral pieces and even instrumental pieces. I'll look for some and send you if I can find it.

i liked your music. could you at least tell us what wagenziek means? i think that this music could use some ornaments-vocalises in the last strophes since you are a trained mezzo.
Hi pslogge, I'm glad you liked it. It's about carsickness, it's meant to be funny, like cabaret, so I kept the music very simple on purpose. But I will keep your suggestion in mind for sure!
It's about sitting in the backseat of the car driving to and trough Austria feeling the urge to vomit but my dad refuses to pull over ;-)
