Colloidal silver is for infection. Put on little finger drop in eyes, ears, drink (30 ppm - clear in color -- 1tablespoon twice daily) for serious infection 500ppm usually brown in color - tsp twice. (abscess tooth) I do not take it daily.

For virus there is oil of oregano (nasty taste - have a couple of crackers handy ). It comes in gel form and can be used on the bottom of the feet if it is too harsh for some. It will cure viruses of all types. warts, herpies, aids and no need for flu shots.
