The last ice age was about 10,000 years ago. So the earth is on a heating cycle yes, but the fact of the matter is that it should have taken about 40,000 more years to get to the heated point that we are today, but we've gotten to the top of the cycle in a matter of 30 years. This can't only be because of a temperature cycle.

And the CO2 emissions are only going further up, which means the planet is only going to continue to warm. Sure, most of it is natural, but we are breaking the natural balance....

What is this? It's the west/central portion of the Angeles National Forest fire. It started mid-week...and went out of control Sat./Sun. It's pretty much settled down now. 140,000 acres..or about 1/5 of the entire forest is burned away(along with the wildlife and infrastructure).

Attending a fire science class our professor mentioned these crazy fires in California. I learned that some California trees (like sequoias) need mineral soil to be prolific. He also mentioned that disruption of such cycles are making each subsequent fire bigger and harder to fight. Thats what he said anyway. Just something to think about.
