The whole thing seems super expensive... One website suggests 70$ USD for a pound of the caapi and 160$ for a pound of the chacruna which = roughly 450 grams each...a little bit more than what it takes for, as you say 10 doses? I don't even want to know what it costs for the Blue Lotus...Am I going to have to catch an arrow in the knee to harvest that? All kidding aside appreciate the video but i might just stick with my 5$ a gram St. Louis shwag and 2$ 40 ounce of the Milkwaukee's Beast.

@webon411 You're not completely wrong. The traditional method is boiling both plants together, but some Western brewers have taken to boiling them separate and keeping them separate. They then drink the MAOI brew first and the DMT brew second. Intent always seems to be the real catalyst for a successful journey, however. There's a real spiritual element to this brew, but you don't have to take my word for it, you can experience it for yourself and decide after.

@360DOT That's the idea, you boil off the excess, but it's a tricky alchemy, reportedly. Some people recommend simmering it down, but all of the traditional methods say boiling so...

@UTshaman Just to get a straight answer... I was always told that vomiting the concoction is what induces the trip, but from your video it seems otherwise. Is it because you have much experience? Those who first try it in the amazon in the traditional sense seem to always vomit. Can you say Dramamine? :D

@Ievolovel Vomit "the purge" is normal. When you use it frequently like everything in life your body get use to it. Shamans rarely vomit anymore. They have experience. Their body is use to it. Don't take the vomit aspect as negative, it's positive. Just go with the flow and lissent to your inner heart, your instinct is the best to guide you in this. There is no good or bad way. There is just your way.

@fear98scare Nope. DMI (the active ingredient) is a class I controlled substance. But the good thing is not many people will know what it is. DMI in the US is typically smoked because ingesting it requires an MAOI which is what makes Ayahuasca dangerous due to the food and drug interactions. DMI itself is very safe.

@360DOT It's not less potent. No not at all. If anything, it is more potent. The difference is in the length of the trip. Smoked DMT from crystal form is a short, intense blast whereas Ayahuasca is a much MUCH longer, gradual ascent. Explaining it is pretty ineffectual. It's something that must be experienced, I suppose.

When you boiled the plants how come you did not strain the water out every 2 to 3 hours and added new water until the plant does not change its color and then combine all of the boilings and reduce them to the drinking amount(isnt that supposed to be more potent and powerful that way?)

yes, I have heard that it is possible. gives it time to cool and for the solids in it to settle so if you wish you can filter it again.
