You can somewhat get that same effect by using the shield Rod with the Iron Shield.

I found it really hard to do it on the emulator for some obscure reason. The heaven sword combo. Every time I press both attack buttons they just fly out without the special move:( Any hints on that? Or is it just that I don't need to push the directional buttons and just both attack buttons or something...

get it to level 40 or 50. Of course, by level 50, if you de-equip the relic "Sword Familiar," you can EQUIP THE SWORD FAMILIAR in the hand slot.

Basically, you get a nice blade with a variable attack rating based on the familiar's current level. And no, it does not level up if you use it in this fashion. It has to be floating around...

Also, and you can check this as I may be wrong, by lvl 40-50, Alucard can use the spell "Sword Brothers" if its floating around.

@Farscryer0 You can use sword brothers whenever the familiar is equipped and floating, no leveling necessary. Also, holding it in your hands lets you use the spell too i think.

@TheTolnoc No, you can't. Tried it before and it didn't work. I wish though... but then, I wish a lot of things concerning this game.

Like a playable Maria that wasn't bludgened to shit with a nerf-bat like on the PSP version. Seriously considered downloading the shitty Saturn emulator just so I could whip some ass with all the crazy spells and abilities she USED TO be able to do.

@Farscryer0 You ARE putting the spell in correctly, right? Down, down forward, forward, up forward, up for 2 seconds, down attack? The timing is sensitive on the last part. My sword is nowhere near 50 and I can do it.

Because you'll see just how much ass Maria (the adult version in SotN) can kick, at least on the Sega Saturn. Seriously, she was OP right from the start and now, in the PSP version, she can barely compete at all...

There is another sword that works like the heaven,her name is runesword and is dropped from ''Dodo Bird''

Level him up to 50. At 70, he starts to fly around instead of spinning in circles too.

and you can also use the familiar sword like a weapon once you reach a high level with the sword

That does help cuz I found one in a easily findable location but didn't know that room held a secret. Is it in the room or the one connecting it at the bottom of the inverted or top right of the regular?

theres one in the room where you fight Bezzlebub in the inverted castle (gaibon & slogra regular). hope this helps

If I remember correctly, In the long Library, if you do a superjump in the room beneath the librarian than after a couple tries you can get one.

one ring of arcana you get when you beat beezlebub. The other you get by smacking the librarian. Just go to the room beneath him in the first castle and gravity jump through the chute into his chair.

any cloaked knight. but its easiest to get it from the knight in inverted castle in the secret room in the clock tower. be sure to have both Ring of Arcana's on. that will increase your rare item appearance. any other questions on SotN, i'd be extremely glad to help you out. i know this game inside and out:)

You can get a heaven sword by killing a cloaked knight at the clock tower hidden room (monster floating with a floating sword).. It could take time to get that sword but it is worth it..
