It's disappointing to hear Russell Simmons talking about Louis Farrakhan in the context of Islam when Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam have nothing to do with Islam or its true teachings. It's sad that he respects a man whose organisation is essentially racist, and teaching falsehoods about Muhammad (pbuh) . Russell also sidesteps the issue of artists taking responsibility for misogyny in hip hop.

I have much respect for Russell Simmons; however, with respect to the question by the man in Lagos, it would be good to know when U.S. hip hop artists plan to perform in Africa. Hopefully with uplifting messages. Thanks for the post.
