Thanks to the corporate trend in today's policing (particularly NSW), The quality of Probationary Constables has severely deteriorated since the introduction of the current recruiting and training system (pretty much since the day it moved from a straightforward police academy to a police college/campus). Get back to basics. Recruit REAL Police, not academic misfits who don't qualify for other uni courses. Reintroduce minimum height and weight restrictions. Too many fat and short unhealthy cops!

Yeah I've seen it... Nothing but a sugar coated pile of manure. Iam from Qld and considering going AFP (ACT Police). At least they pay to train people, less crime in Canberra, no stupid degree course and not far to travel if your getting posted, unlike alot of the other states... It's good living up here in Qld, but as far as joining their police is concerned, it's pretty crap!!!

1) The AirWing never run to their helicopter, its on a trolley and wheeled out on the RARE occassion they fly it! Fuel is too expensive!

2) The water police budget is the same as ONE episode of sea patrol

3) the tactical operations unit rarely do anything as the NSWP policy is contain and negotiate.

4) the Riot Squad (PORS) dont ride on the side of the 4wd anymore due to OHS
