All this talk of what's childish and what's accurate is completely irrelevant. Name length is a non-issue (MM2 & MM4).

There is a BlastMan.EXE in Battle Network 6.

There is NO Blast Man in the Classic canon.

There will be no more official Classic games, which means there will NEVER be an official Robot Master named "Blast Man".

Therefore, there is nothing wrong with using the name "Blast Man" in a fan game, as it will never be claimed by an official character in the same timeline.

The project started in 2008. I've been working on this for almost 2 years every chance I get IN MY FREE TIME. Creating even the simplest game takes a lot of time. I'm not going to release things that are half-finished just for the sake of releasing something. I just want to be sensitive to MegaPhilX. He wrote that he's told you twice before that there isn't a planned release date. I just thought it was impolite to keep asking him. Also, i wasn't sure if you were kidding about the "heart-attacks." My vote is for either Blast Man or Chemical Man. In the Mega Man Battle network series, Fire Man was renamed as Torch Man, so don't feel bad if you decide on Blast Man. Chemical Man, on the other hand, hasn't been used yet, and there are many liquid chemicals that can ignite or explode. I understand the reasoning for Trinitro Man, but that name sounds derivitive and unoriginal now that an official Nitro Man exists.
