Irish Nazi supporters....the IRA and Irish Republicanism was very supportive of the Nazis. The IRA tried several times to establish Nazi links so that any invasion of Britain would be supported by the IRA as allies of the Nazis. In turn for their loyalty to Hitler, the Nazis would unite Ireland and set up an IRA/Irish Republican government who would allow Nazi soldiers to be based there and take their orders from Berlin.

Without U.S supplies to Russia, They would not have won the key battles that turned the eastern front Moscow,Stalingrad,Kursk(The U.S and U.K helped in all the battles with supplies resources tanks,planes etc etc.) And without U.S supplies to Britain 1940 the could have been invaded and brought the war to British soil.

U.S.A In World War 2, Resources and supplies were everything BUT There Military came into the war when the Axis were losing on both sides! In the West the British had defeated the Luftwaffe and stopped the battle of britain 1940, And then at battle of Al Alamein 1942 British Forces defeated the German,Italians and humiliated Rommels counter attacks with the Axis on full rethreat, In the East the Axis had been defeated Moscow,1941-2 Stalingrad 1943, Kursk,1943. U.S resources ere vital.

the americans were the biggest force in the west but mainly fought second class german soldiers while the russians took the bulk of the german fighting machine. the russians just sent waves after waves of soldier till they eventually overwhelmed the enemy. hence their casualties. the RAF defeated the German air force. the Americans marines took on most of the fighting in the Pacific. even after all of this i think the Germans had the best military. italians were dumb back than. Ethiopia wtf?

The only thing that you got wrong was that America did not give us anything we had to pay for all the supplies we received, and we did not in fact finish paying for them until the 1980's. The Atlantic fortifications were build or already in a process of building long before Rommel arrived. HE also knew, that the fortifications are going to fail.

Most likely. Rommel never liked Hitler, or much of his regime. Rommel (simply put) liked to play the game of war, and was part of the plot to murder Hitler. When he found out he was outraged, but because of the respect he had for Rommel, Hitler let him poison himself, rather than stand trial, embarrass his family, and be executed.

The only reason why we won the war was cause the americans strucked when the germans were weak. The Brits were getting their behinds whooped by the Germans and so were the Russians. The only reason the late spring Soviet offensive had such great success is because the Allies opened up a second front. German troops were taken from fighting the Soviets over to prepare for the Normandy invasion.

The reason that Britain, USA, and France got a piece of Berlin was because of their alliance. Just because someone gets the Capital first does not mean they get everything. [1/2]

Not to discredit the Russians or anything, but their army wasn't that strong or even that great. For example, The Winter War of 1939-1941: Finland, vastly outnumbered by the USSR in men and weaponry, was able to inflict 80k casualties and the destruction of 2k tanks. Finland had 250k men, 30 tanks; USSR had 1million men, 6k tanks, around 3800 aircraft. Though the war ended up with a treaty meagerly favoring USSR, it showed Hitler their incompetence in military at the time.
