I shot for the first time at Fletcher Arms a few days ago, and Terry Haber was absolutely amazing. He had endless knowledge about using a handgun for self defense, and didn't mind sharing it at all. He'll stand and talk with you about politics, best practices, gun models, anything. It was a great first-time experience. I'll be stopping by soon again.

Just becuase you have a gun doesn't make you any more or less protected. get trained, get accurate, and learn how to not flinch everytime it goes off. if you can't then get a smaller caliber till the recoil and blast are more confortable for you. The .22 is the smallest, most manufactured, and deadliest round made. It is the most used, and therefore the most deadly. Either way. guns for everyone, crime for no one!
Shooting a target on a range is the first step. Second is to learn to find cover every time you pick up or draw a weapon and shoot from cover. Third is get scared so your fight and flight syndrome kicks in and learn to pick right target to shoot at while hitting it. It is not easy find some that will scare the shit out of you when you know it target practice
Yes, the school is excellent. The instructors are well trained and use the same systems.
For the next couple of days? FrontSight is offering a 4 day handgun course for around $70 plus ammunition, hotel etcetera. This is the course my daughters participated in.
As to your question about lawsuits. I do not have that info. I believe one lawsuit was about an accident on a rope slide that resulted in a death. The other lawsuits I have heard something about pertain to real estate not closing

Both of these young women are trained in martial arts. However one of their acquaintances at the school was attacked and left for dead. This lady through some miracle survived but will have months or years before she has fully recovered from the attack. Her assailant when caught enjoyed the encounter.

"Empowerment" It's another media buzz word. I agree with you guys and don't understand the thumbs down your getting. These women aren't going to war and need empowerment. The media leads them into saying these words and uses them on their program.
That's like saying I'm empowered when I put my seatbelt on. It's a tool with a specific purpose should the need occur.
Empowering: To invest with power, especially legal power or official authority.

When you are armed and well trained in defensive handgun use, then you have the ability to protect yourself and your loved ones no matter how big and strong your attacker is. That's what makes it empowering.
