At 24:00 I wrote down the right answers and had them all finalized. Soon as I got to clicking and I was down to the final 2 runes to go, it tells me the machenism is whining and shut down.

How the hell even with 99 firemake does Magic Logs end before I can finish this puzzle?

guys i know u guys are all pissewd about the thieving part of the puzzle: heed my advice: aALWAYS put the highest pressure on that room, if u are nearly out of turnss, imply click of one of the cogs mechanisms to gain more moves, i hope this helped you, feel free to thumb up this comment so that others can see (i know i got pissed becuase of this)

I can mine pure ess for months on end, I have the combat skills many my level don't. Quests as hard as this though aren't something I can easily do if at all. Quitting though isn't an option since I'm not sure what I'd do if I was incapable of absolutely not completing it. It's like being told to win a race or you'll be killed yet your legs were amputated years prior.

@appellaa I'm inclined to agree with him, I find this quest a bit over complicated. Although I haven't watched this vid, I've read many written guides on it & am truly disgusted. Having a puzzle is 1 thing, but having it timed & not telling you for how long is a complete fail. The reward from quest isn't even really worth all the time it takes to complete, bit if 1 doesn't then they haven't done what others have & this is degrading.

@lyko2 the notes are actually a miniquest of a total of 19 note you can trade for 10k, and you only need 4/19 to carry on with the quest

@lyko2 If you haven't figured it out already, it's probably because you found two of the same notes so when you went to copy it into the book it simply disappeared.. making it look like you added it when nothing really happened.

Meh Figured it out about the getting extra TURNS... What I do is I put the most power on The Mysterious Rune Box because it is very difficult, I put the Second Highest on The Agility Lead Pipe because I have 62 lolz and its really hard, and finally Least on Scarab because I am a beast with str at lvl 74 and I never fail it the scarab is hard. But, not so very tough lolz ^.^ If you guys think that part is the hardest getting to the friggin Priest is the hardest part of all :(

If you set the mystery box room to full power u can click on the "cog" and it will give u 5 extra turns. Then set the agility 1 to second highest and then scarab to third highest.

@thatnoobnoob I don't know if this can help, but I kept getting the same message. Be sure to click the cog/pinion/switch on the right side of the puzzle for a few extra moves, then make your last move to finish the puzzle. Even though I was completing the puzzle correctly, I kept running out of moves which resulted in failure each time when I matched the last type of rune. Hope that helps. :P

the rune puzzle got me pissed, when i first attempt it, it seemed all right at first, but then all my 15 chances are out, now i had like 3 trips with logs and restocks and all the fustration with the 4 lever rooms, i had wasted at least 5 logs and after my second attempt on the rune puzzle, guess what, it FAILED. Now i gave up until tommorow's attempt. And i got to say this quest has a more fustrating puzzle than the puzzle in mournings end part 2. no hard feelings right?
