i really don't see the point of your comment.. i guess im just confused, but a kendo'ist is a kendoka or kenshi. then hachidan means eighth dan in japanese... so i guess im just confused
no its funny how the channel used one japanese term that people might not understand but used the term kendo'ist when they can stick to calling it in its original japanese form which is kendoka
Kendo is a bit more expensive than other martial arts like karate for example. but that depends on how good quality equipment you want to buy.
You can easily find equipment in very affordable prices and my opinion is that kendo is worth every penny of your money and every second of your time.
I think all traditional forms of martial arts really has lost it's essence from tradition or just plain ability. Simply cause all these old masters are a rarity nowadays.
I have taken part in traditional Hapkido, where almost every part of the class was the same as it has always been. Even some of the exercises that are done are at my former dojang(Korean dojo) are incredibly bad for your body, but are still used. Tradition is still somewhat easy to find, as long as you are taught by someone whos life is martial arts.
hhe im just 6kyu :(

yes it is but worth every penny I went to my kendo lesson yesterday and you will not believe how much of a buzz it gives you.
SinofBeast 4 years ago 2
I can imagine the "buzz" it can give you. I do karate and get quite a buzz myself after a good kumite (sparring) match.
