  • I love the part where the dad opens his coat to show his Jamaican shirt to his son. That always warms my heart.

  • The first Jamaican bobsleighing team.

  • Y'all I'm going to cry!

  • 8:37 symbolic of life; you fall down, you get back up.

  • "A gold medal is a wonderful thing. But if you're not enough without it, you'll never be enough with it."

    Love that quote. Very powerful.

  • "Everybody shut up, *raises arms* my boy's on tv!"

  • Nooooooooooooooooo I cant watch part 10! I hate it when youtube videos cant be watched in germany... No gosh, i love that film, wanted to see the ending so badly:(

  • The East German starting the slow clap... what a trendsetter.

  • Too bad they never turned in that great second round. They were dead last the whole way, but definitely the fan favorites.

The media didn't bother to explain the part about the disaster in the track and field.

  • 02:10-02:25 Love that musical score!!! is that on the OMPS?

  • Ya died

    ya mon!

  • Derice, ya dead?

    No man, I'm not.

  • Its heartbreakin 2 watch them crash. Was it that bad n real life?

  • Derice... Ya dead?

    No man :)

  • " where did these guys come from ? "

    " JAMAICAAAAAAAAAAAAA ! "

  • Weird, part 1 has 1 million views, this has under 500k? No dedication..

  • Dorise, you dead?

    No man.

LOL but tears in my eyes.

  • I think that sums up the hole movie right here. "A gold medal is a wonderful thing. But, if your not enough without it, you would never be enough with it."

  • Zanka u dead mannn.... 

  • can anyone tell me if the jamaiman bobsled team was a big thing at the time or if only became a big thing and famous once the cool wrunnings films came out?

  • @lostsoleful They weren't really a "big thing" ever, they were looked at more as an offbeat fun team who had no chance of winning. The movie made it seem as if the final race was gonna be won by them, however, in the real games, they were no where close to winning.

  • @reily6488 Thank you reily. I guess that is Hollywood's take on the story!

  • @reily6488 No, actually, from what I gather they were able to get A medal, not THE medal.

  • best slow clap.....EVER

  • When the father opened up his jacket to show Junior his shirt, I had just about lost it.

    I broke down and wept.

  • "A gold medal is a wonderful thing, but if you're not enough without it, then you won't be enough with it"

those words themselves worth a gold medal...

  • this event(movie) is an idea about life...

people in general want more and more money/fame to satisfy???

relax and hang loose in life...

the western way is to control everything and everyone...

be proud of who you are and what you have done and remember their is someone that is--------faster,younger,weaker,healthier,dumber,richer,smarter,slower,wiser,older then you are...

SO, give all others the respect that you wish to have yourself...

My favourite line in the movie. Such a simple statement, yet it applies to so many different aspects in life.

  • lol I can never get over them asking each other "ey, ya dead?" I mean what would happen if there was no answer? and it's said so nonchalantly that I can't help but laugh every time it's said.

  • Where did this guys come from??

    JAMAICA....

  • @reigns09 Dee Jay ? ^^

  • i love the fact that all the footage from the little Jamaican TV is the actual '88 Olympics footage!

  • I Loved it when the father was there showing his support.

  • Its so awesome that this is a true story. :)

  • @tdforjesus absolutley nothing is true about this story..its "based" on a true story. Their were 2 buisness men, who thought sprinters would make good bobsleighders but none were interested, instead they used military men (so not actually sprinters)

    Here's whats not true

    1) The coach never cheated/never founded it

    2) They were not sprinters

    3) didn't walk the sleigh through the finish

    What is true

    1) they did get better throughout the 2nd run

    2) they were a fan favorite

    3) they did crash

  • @alexkollar

O ok. Never knew that. Still a good movie though.

  • @alexkollar so you say that "absolutely nothing is true about this story", then you finish it up with truths that connect this movie to the actual events. Don't be a prick, there was no need to call anyone out.

  • @alexkollar As you may have since realized, the actual bobsledders WERE sprinters; they were from the Army.

  • "We have to finish the race". I tear up whenever I hear that line in this movie. There's a message for us all - "We have to finish the race"

  • everytime i see that bit where they're just skiddin on that track (and i've seen this like over 100 times, know the words back to front) i get upset and just think man, thats got to hurt. cos all that 'dust' thats flyin everywhere is ice!

  • they got a clothing line now!

  • "RESPEK"

  • Everybody shut up lol

  • I loved Jamaica after this!

  • that is a badass moder

  • "If you're not enough without it, you'll never be enough with it."

Yup, and gold medals aren't the only things people think will fulfill them or make them satisfied with themselves if they can "just attain it."

  • I love this movie and it really shows that it really doesn't matter where you come from. You can accomplish anything. Cheesy I know but true. I wish Disney made more movies like this.

  • @writergirl107 agreed.

  • haha 8:16: hammer and sickle.

  • "Derice,a gold medal is a wonderful thing, but if you aren't enough without it,you'll never be enough with it." So true...

  • one of the best movies ever. i love it.

feel the rhytm, feel the rhyme

    get on up, it's bobsled-time!

    COOL RUNNINGS!

  • "when an east german goes pushing my teammate we have to fight back"

  • I love this movie, but the audio was off.

  • i known you since julie jeffreys asked you see your dingaling!

  • oh the end to this is soooo fire

  • oh god the bit at the end always gets to me looool

  • At 7:16, you can see that one teammate's head is out of the sled. I think that hurts your neck, so you can't lift the sled.

  • Shouldn't they have gotten to rerun the race? It's was the sled's fault.

  • each team gets 4 runs, no matter what happens

  • actually, the true story, that accident happened and the emergency team helped pushed the bobsled right into the finish line...coz one of the team mates was injured...

  • dd they actual lifted the bobsled and crossed the line in the true story

  • @tixmix2 > No they didn't. Unlike the film they got out of the sleigh/sled and walked down the track alongside sled officials. The original crash footage is used in the film however. That did happen.

  • Luv it!

  • feel the rhythm, feel the ride, get up it´s bobsleg time, COOL RUNNING!!!!!!!!!

    lets go Jamaica

  • makes me think of that stupid movie "not another teen movie" when the dude says he wants to be the person who starts off the determined clap to get everybody else to clap LOL

  • that is the best movie ever made:) and BarryDennen12 your a fucking toolbag

  • yeah and in the reall fottoge they dont lift it upm the medics push it

  • @haydos125 did they at least walk to the finish line? or did they just go straight to the hospital? (and earned respect from everyone and are no longer laughed at for being in the winter olympics?)

  • Yeah. They walked the sledge to the finish line like true champs. John Barnes (of LFC), his dad was a Colonel in the Jamaican army and helped with the setting up of the team.
