My Marilyn Years were important to me. But you have to evolve. It would be sad to hold on to this forever. I refused to do it beyond the age of 36 (when she died). I left it with dignity and the love & respect for her image in tact.

I'm a photo-realistic artist -and trust me: he's the BEST (and that includes the female artists and actresses) He not only accurately evoked the movements and gestures (and uncannily recreated her expressive and singular facial features) but also her wise, vulnerable and funny spirit. Even the BEST and most famous tributes (Susan Griffiths) don't quite capture the look which, so far as I can tell, only Marilyn and Jimmy shared. Love to you, Jimmy James! <3

Mr. James you are AMAZING! You captured her spirit, her charm, & sense of fun... without seeming like a tawdry burlesque show. Many female impersonators forget that. People really just want to have fun & we do all miss the real Marilyn. You provided us with a way to recapture her once again. Jimmy, I too have wondered how you were.. I met you MANY years ago ( LOL) through Beulah..He and I were best friends since high school up until his passing. I was always mesmerized by your talent. Other performers may look like Marilyn but you gave her life....I totally understand you quiting when you did but I always wondered and I'm sure many other people have said "what if "? What if Marilyn was alive today. What would she look like? Anyhow thank you for all the years of sharing your talent.

I have always been TERRIFIED of performing as Marilyn past the age of 36 (when she died). I ended my Marilyn years when I was still on top. It seems like hardly anyone understands that. I see old Marilyn impersonators and they seem sad to me. I don't know...It's like telling someone to go back to high school and try to look EXACTLY like you looked in high school... It's impossible and even if it were possible, your heart & soul would be somewhere else.

This is a walk down memory lane for me, seeing you perform back in the 80's in Texas, but not only as MM, but all the other voices as well. I studied her life, personality, body movements, and tried to understand who and what she must have been like on the inside. I wanted to be an actor paying tribute to her. I wanted to honor her memory and her fans. In the process I too became a big fan of hers.

Shame on you...Jimmy has already stated that he wanted to preserve his iconic image, before it became a parody. His talent is second to none. Even the legendary Craig Russell made room for him, and acknowledges him in "Too Outrageous", in where he actually gave him a cameo during the first few years. And now look at him! This is fascinating...Marilyn and Jimmy must have the same ancestral line or something to look that much alike. There is no way it's all make-up!...C'mon if Sarah Palin can be a distant cousin of Princess Diana, it is not silly to think that Jimmy and Marilyn could be distant relatives as well. There will never be another Marilyn Impersonator like Jimmy for atleast 1000 more years or so as good (excuse me) GREAT as Jimmy James!!! What a walk down memory lane! Jimmy was one of the 1st impersonators that I saw back in the 80's, and one of the kindest people that was so fun to be around.(club days) His impersonations of Marilyn and Bette Davis remains the best I have ever seen. So happy to hear that his recording career is doing so well, and I love "Fashionista"! Continued success to not only a great performer, but a beautiful person..inside and out!
