  • and i thought my training was hard.....

  • the second gimnast its alina kabaeva?

  • im 28, definitely too late to start any sport like this ><

  • I'm a gymnast in Arizona I'm a level 9 and I don't think this should have gymnastics in the name I've been doing gym my whole life and I know RG is hard and wow but I've never seen anything alike but the leaps and the floor and some turns and ballet, RG is hard but so is gymnastics but I think gymnastics is harder.......:D

  • @TheEden1291 i agree, RG is really difficult :s

  • She was doing ballet on the beginning. My dance teacher was right when she said ballet helps with everything ;)

  • Who is the girl in 0:07?

  • Ok so many people are leaving comments that say I miss RG which is pointless to say because if u quit and u think it was a mistake than get back in it don't just sit here and write comments so you can feel bad for yourself get off your butt and go train!!!!!

  • All videos show ELITE LEVEL training -_-

Someone post a video about the basics!

  • and i thought I was flexible...

  • ok, I am Artistic gymnast, our trainings are so difficult as rg, sometimes even harder, but ok... how the hell somebody can do THAT 0:07 ?

  • Some people have stopped so suddenly my dream :(

I would never forgive them. I HATE THEM.!

    I love R.G.

  • can you send me a link of where you got those pictures!?

  • *sigh* people who say ballet isn't hard are people who don't understand ballet. it looks easy because it's meant to look easy, not because it IS easy! The training regiment of a professional ballet dancer is similar to that of a professional gymnast (not necessarily in the same way!) but it takes special skill to make something that is so physically demanding look effortless. Anyway, what is the point in arguing over which is harder? They're both hard. But different. And beautiful. Simple. x

  • @Em141186 Exactly. Everything SHOULD be difficult, anyway, if you're trying hard enough and at an appropriate level....

  • i hope i can influence my daugther to be in RG

  • i miss being in RG, best time of my life, i regret getting out of it!

  • @nodira1995 I understand you.

I also miss R.G... Although i didn't want to get out of it..

    Some others did it :(

  • i go throught ALL of that!

  • @rgcutie11 wow how long have you been doing it ??

  • @burgerbuns100 quite a while

  • I do regular gymnactics and all of us love wat we do even if it's hard and these r viners girls so there realy good

  • yea, its hard, ppl: quit, - us: we cant, ppl dont get that we love it thats why we go through this, my friends, they tell me to quit or punch my ciach when she calls me fat but i cant and they dont get that RG is all we are all we want all we need.

  • whats the name of this song?

  • @ANNE759153 Sunrise - Norah Jones

  • I'm 11 and do gymnastics but do I have to have special training before I get into a RG school? I've never done it before so do I have to train first or do I just go strait in??

  • @Lollipop19Love You can just go straight in.

  • Thanks and is the girls legs having spazims or is she like just shaking them on her own?

  • Norah Jones - Sunrise

  • What's the name of this song?

  • my legs are wherre all my flexibility is now. i hurt my back a while ago so now im not very flexible in my back ):

  • the dancing is impressive, but what impresses me more is that they can throw and catch objects while moving around like that.

  • they have bones ..right ?

  • Where do they get those knee pads? i have been looking around for some for about like a month. i've been everywhere, i find some but they arent the right ones. the wresling ones are too ugh and i need help! where do they get like the red and blue ones? the ones that have a hole in the back of the knee?

  • @XEmoGGirlX you can usually find them at any dance store. I bought some like that for my dance group. Dont go to sports stores because they never have the right kind. I usually go to Opening Night Dance store. Hope this helps!

  • @icecreamtimmy no, not really, if you train correctly. (:

  • I guess when theyre too old to do rg they can always go into ballet, thed be snapped up like instantly!

  • Beautiful and amazing. Their pysios make a fortune off them when they 30.

  • rg is just so beautiful. :D

  • they do it so easally

  • i am 11 right now, and i want to be a rhythmic gymnast. is it to late 4 me?

  • @akcashmer It's never too late, just work harder.

  • @akcashmer I started at 10, ok I didn't win the gold medal at the Olimpic's, but nethertheless have really unforgettable memories! :)

  • @akcashmer no it's not , u can be a rhytmic gymnast :D

  • @akcashmer with the right kind of training, u can do any sport u want XD

  • in the beginning the girl has great turns and balance but her foot is cycled in her passe and her fifth position is all wrong, but she has great turns

  • @ScBerndt she might not be trying to work on that

  • @ScBerndt Really? i'd say terrible ballet placement all round. But she isnt a ballet dancer...so pretty sure it doesn't even matter. As long as she can do what she does.

  • Amazing! I am just freaked out by that flexiblility! Ballet and RG are some of the hardest things there is. And if you say that they aren't athletes then I don't wanna be an athlete.

  • this video is awsome

but im a teenager is it to late for me to start doing RG

  • @clairebear199577cows Why not give it a try? Go to some club and take beginner level classes and see how far you can go. Even if you don't get to the Olympics, you'll have fun. It will help if you also train in ballet some. I am a dancer, and I want to start RG when I live near a club. :)

  • Whoooooa

  • wow they hav such long arms nd legs! its scary the way they twist nd stretch...amazing

  • One of my friends is a Rhythmic Gymnast and she is like these people lol!

  • bboy junior el mejor

  • beautiful

  • Can somebody tell me this song's name please?! Great video! We can really see the gymnastic's hard work! Congratulations!

  • @IS2SP "sunrise" by norah jones =)

  • it's like ballet xD

  • SIMILAR to ballet, not LIKE ballet, actually. It makes the difference;) Ballet is connected with beauty and hide strenght. Artistic or sport gym. means for me strenght easy to see and weird flexibility. But people who train that discipline, as I said, also have dance classses to improve balance and look... lighter, more like flowing in the air.

  • but dont you think that if a they trained in ballet it would be like a super dancer! and if they were to do artistic gymnastics .. it would bring the sport to another level.

  • @cheriobaby1113 They probably don't have (and as a result of the type of stretching they do could never have) the KIND of strangth it takes for Artistic. I would imagine they would be quite poor in events like vault and floor as a reult of the LACK of that type of muscle training. And one woudl think, "well why dont just combine those disciplines?" I don't think you CAN...not fully.

  • how in the heck is this done what do you guys start traning at two? big props to yall!!!!

  • its funny you compare them to ballet dancers but they are very heavy on their feet and dont hold them selves up like ballet dancers

  • Actually everyone who trains rhythmic gymnastic has also classic dance classes.

  • ooh i didnt mean for that comment to be negative, just an observation, and i didnt say that they had no experience of ballet.

surely you can see their bodies are different and act differently

personally i think its beautiful but i cant watch too much because even though they are obviously very strong the flexibility in their upper body looks almost limp and scares me a bit, whereas ballerinas are very sturdy yet light

  • I agree. Their flexibility is sometimes like... superhuman. It scares me too. Looks too weird. But it's necessary in that sport.

  • @GwiazdkaNadia I don't...

  • wow they may front walkovers look so easy. they're so amazing..!

  • im surprised on how much ballet is part of this

  • I have nothing to say but WOW..

  • @MissHeleneKjaer must agree....only wow...I wish i was that bendy

  • i do rythmic gymnastics i do it in a club

  • 2:22 Impressive control

  • I'd love to be a RG, as well as a ballet dancer, I'd love to be able to have amazing A la seconde turns!

  • Wow. That is intense. Much more difficult than ballet training, I'm sure! They are so talented!

  • what? they would make amazing dancers!. Theyre not doing it to be totally technically correct. Theyre doing it to warm up for their sport.

  • they are very turn in!

  • I agree.

  • I do both and they both have the same degree of difficulty...they also complement eachother!!

  • She would be like the PERFECT ballerina

    :)

  • music???

  • sunrise - Nora Jones

  • once your above level 3 it's painful and if your club has summer camps they kinda make you go to them well they don't MAKE you but they strongly suggest you do. that is why i am SUPER sore and every muscle hurts right now.

  • ahh leave it to a rhythmic gymnast to make a simple cartwheel look like an impossible task.

  • I would like to see you do this stuff that these gymnasts do if you think it's easy.

  • i wasn't saying that it's easy, i was saying that they are extremely talented. i worded that in the wrong way. i can't do a cartwheel. lol

  • srry (-_-)

  • s'okay. im in a cast right now. lol

i'm a ballet dancer. i didnt mean to insult.

  • that is crazy flexible.

they all have such tall slim legs

  • I think that all rhythmic gymnasts can be ballerinas...

  • All balerinas can try to be rhytmic gymnast and fail

  • hey ballet is difficult and so is rg.

  • @AnnieLynn333 I agree ive never done rg but i can see how hards it is. As for ballet I do it! We get sretched often then our eachers critisises

  • @AnnieLynn333 Tell me one sport which is not difficult to be performed on pro level :/

  • @123456hahallo123456 Bowling.

  • @AnnieLynn333 ballet aint difficult!!!!

    it hardly a sport!!!

lol can't believe you think it's hard

    any one can twirl

  • @AnnieLynn333 No it isnt, the base of RG is ballet so... RG is hard, to RG you need ballet and much more...

  • @inesSilva360 Ballet is hard and RG is harder.

  • @homicidalPEACH I practise RG , and i have done ballet, i know what i'm talking about.

  • @inesSilva360 I'm sure you do. But coming from a non-athletic girl who's dislocated [both] knees too many times, ballet is hard. RG is harder.

  • @homicidalPEACH

try dancing en pointe 12 hrs. a day...they are both hard in their own respects...their are demands that ballet has that rg doesn't and their are demands rg has ballet doesn't...

  • @AnnieLynn333 yeah but RG is also ballet , think about it. =]

  • @TheEden1291 Well....no it isn't classical ballet no. But it certainly has similar if not many of the same elements. That....I never knew what turnout was until I watched a rythmic gymnast :)

  • @Yuri92001 I said also, so If ballet is difficult, then RG is more difficult.

    from Experience.

  • @TheEden1291 ok

  • excuse me

  • very good im that flexible

  • Sunrise

  • whats this song called?

  • I love this song

  • how is anyone that flexible lol

  • untill they make mistakes they actually look fake :|

they're all so tall and thin

  • Who is the first girl? She seems a ballet dancer!!!

  • First is Irina Tchachina next Alina Kabaeva and from 0:11 to 1:20 Ziarina Gizikova.

  • that was amazing. I love how in the beginning the girl was kind of doing ballet :) they're so bending!!

  • wow she is ..wow sge is amazing

  • This is a beautiful song...the girl @ 2:06- 2:27 has such long and beautiful legs... I love Irina she is my favorite...but all the RG's are so graceful =)

  • what is the song? it seems really nice. and that looks soooooooooo painful yet so gorgeous by how theyi move. and bend.

  • norah jones-sunrise

  • sunrise by norah jones

  • Wow! Almost brought me to tears... I'm like six inches from full front splits and still can't maintain a solid handstand! I guess we don't know how to quit! LOL

  • aww the girl at 1:40 looks really tired

and the girl at 3:00 worked those hula hoops so well i wanted to cry :']

  • first of all those are hoops 2nd the girl that looks really tired is irina tchatchina and the girl with the "amazing hoop moves" is lyssan!

  • calm down.

  • That is actually Zarina Gizikova training her hoop routine in 2002 :)

  • That's not normal.

  • the girl at the start does very controlled piroettes!!

  • i go to rhythmic gymnastics and its fun i'm the best gymnast in my class and i'm also the only one who can do a strattle

  • wow...somebodys a little bit confident...

  • the last part she does looks difficult because u have to have the rite timing

  • At the beginning she's doing a basic ballet barre workout :) We do those everyday in ballet class!

I love RG! Oh how I wish I could start taking classes.

  • i no it is beautiful but painfull...

  • wow

  • I love Gizikova's pointed feets. Lovely!

  • yes..RG isn't easy in a sense that you have to look graceful at the same time executing the moves..It really isn't, especially when you are an adult like me..takes a lot of strength to stay in a line, & to be able to lift your legs to your head needs really strong quads & major flexibility. I didn't get a chance to learn when I was younger, then I took up cheer in high school. now I just started RG among kids & its amazing!

  • hi, I'm 23 and I've done cheerleading and now I'm doing artistic & rhythmic gymnastics..All these 3 are different with similar skills. I'd say that all have their own difficulties and obstacles during training..I'd say that all of them rock! RG gives flow to body movement coupled to rhythm, artistic teaches muscle strength & endurance (body awareness) while cheerleading teaches cooperation/trust between team members during stunts. Nevertheless, I love them all!!

  • The most beautiful sport I´ve ever seen and I´ve ever done... RG... hard work, exhausting training...but wonderfull feelings

  • fantastic video!

I find very impressive what those girls do

could you tell what song is playing during the video?? Thanks =)

  • I love Alina Kabaeva, shes so gorgeous, and to hear that her childhood coaches thought she was fat, ugly and talentless...so sad really :'(

  • lets see some of this fat trainers do it since they are the ones who demand perfection

  • she did some ballet!....

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Norah Jones-Sunrise

  • it's gymnastics with apparatus. along the way, the sport picked up some ballet - it uses the same terms. passe, arabesque etc. but it's not ballet - there is a different kind of body strength, and apparatus skills.

  • I personally think this is ballet amped! It takes the flexibility and moves and dds more difficulty nd complexity in some areas...its a beautiful separate type of dance.

  • sunrise by nora jones

  • what is this song

  • what's the name of the song ??

  • good job is´t realy awesome!

  • GREAT montage!

Who's the gymnast at 3:01 with the hoop?

  • balletgurl222 does not have any talent

  • hammahammahamma!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • no humas should be that skinny...

  • good lines

  • their incredible

  • why are you instantly hostile? not everyone knows this song so just take a breath and calm the hell down :)

  • He's got tourettes.

  • what is the name of this song and who sings it?

  • Norah Jones - Sunshine :D

  • woah shes doing ballet!

    thats insane

  • Well, the way I see it, RG is a combination of ballet, and the other type of gymnastics......but then again I could be wrong.

  • do they ever train en pointe?

  • I wouldn't know.

  • no they don't, theres not really a need for it ;)

  • im pretty sure they do my friend used to do rhythmic and she said that they had to walk around on point for five minutes every practice but i could be wrong maybe they dont

  • You can't just say one sport/art is a shitty version of another sport/art, even if they're similar.

Otherwise ballet would just be "shitty rhythmic, but yes, rhythmic".

The point of rhythmic gymnasts is obviously not to be good ballet dancers or they'd do ballet.

  • okay maybe i should ahve elaborated a little bit more. what i meant to say was that the girl in the begining was doing ballet, but she wasn't doing it very well. sorry if i confused anybody.

  • But she ISNT a ballet dancer. She wasn't even trying to do the proper classical poses but rather positions herself as a rythmic dancer does. Same thing with jazz....or modern ballet.....etc etc, which MAY use often similar technique style and base as classical ballet, BUT maintain their own unique style of dance. Rythmic is not bad ballet, its not classical ballet at all. If you knew and appreciated the several different kinds of dance and how to break them down you would not be saying this.
