i see riku as a younger version of sephiroth, and sephiroth is my older brothers favorite fantasy character, so y not he be my favorite fantasy character. btw, on ff7 when ur fighting safer sephiroth, notice how the blade on where his right arm is supposed to be looks extremely similar to riku's sword

I know! Riku's not my favorite character, but I just hate how some people interpret the events in the first game to draw the conclusion that Riku is the bad guy. It's true that he didn't go about the best way to rescue Kairi, but he was only trying to help her nonetheless.

Although I did get pretty ticked at him many times during the game. ^_^"

Yeah this is excellent and this song is so beautiful. Although I'm kinda starting to hate Kingdom Hearts because they always manage to make me cry. :) And throughout playing the game, I kind of got wrapped up in Riku and what the real story behind him was. From the opening of Kingdom Hearts 1, I knew he was the center of the story. He's such a sweetie and this tribute is just right for him.
