I think the ending of the movie was brilliant. You're left with an ending that you, as the viewer, have to elaborate on.

@kate64533 SPOILER WARNING. I agree! It leaves you wanting something to hold onto! I do like that she gives him her cigarettes though, I think that says a lot. That he was, and always will be the one and the only one that really knows her. But that she has to stay with the more secure and stable man after everything she went through.

I watched CWOW not really knowing what to expect, it's not the kind of movie I'd usually appreciate, maybe it's just because Helena Bonham Carter is my hero, but I found this movie so realistic. The dialogue was very real-sounding and the characters were really easy to relate to. I'm not much of an Aaron Eckhart fan, either, but he was pretty funny in this, I thought.

Just watched it and this is immediately, probably one of the best films I've ever seen. I thought the split screen thing would annoy me, but after seeing it, I can't imagine the movie without it. It adds so much. Such a witty and clever film, and Helena + Aaron are phenomenal. Love, love, loved it!

One of the best movies I have ever seen. Helena is amazing in this movie and so is Aaron. The best part about this movie is that it is so real. These people could be anyone and as a viewer you'd still relate to them because they are so personable. Helena did an amazing job and this movie proves that she is more than "the corset queen" and that she is an amazing actress.

They weren't in the same cab. I know when I watched it for the first time I didin't understand the ending either,but I've seen it a few times and I get it.The ending is meant to serve as some sort of metaphor for the notion that as indiviuals happiness may forever avoid us.If you have the DVD watch the interview with Helena & Aaron and you'll get it better.And you're right she doesn't look like she's 43 at all, she looks amazing & in this movie she was so beautiful and most importantly REAL!!!

it was how it was filmed, the whole split screen thing was only for cinemas and DVD plus i think was to add the whole element of there really is two sides to every story...however, according to IMDb, there was a single frame edit made for television purposes. This movie was edited with final cut pro aswell, so perhaps they were just being artistic with the framing...thats why you've gotta love indie flicks :)
