@wyatearp518 Thanks! (Can't ask for a better endorsement than Wyatt Earp!) We're glad you liked the film, we'll be rolling out some new, original projects soon. Stay tuned!
Interesting bit with the force pull at the end. I have to say thou that the lady did let taking revenge and reveling in it take precedence over helping loved ones. Not very Jedi-like.
@HauteAntoinette Thanks! We have considered continuing the story with a comic done in that style, but we've been so busy with our upcoming projects we haven't had a chance yet. Glad you liked the film :)
@billstinchcomb Looks to me like 'governor zalem' has been a busy guy since his demise. Dead or not I have no doubt we'll be seeing your mug on the silver screen ;)
@MoonDoggieFilms1 Really awesome!! :D u guys should make a sequel and have Kyla become a Jedi struggling with the anger of losing Farin. Maybe have her move toward the sith and struggle between good and evil. Just ideas, I hope u guys make a sequel!!
Certainly best of breed of star wars fan films. The only thing that would be interested to see changed is all of the voice over to be removed from the beginning, and also put the title card at that first fade out when he's repairing the light saber. Really thought it was all well done though.
@prowrestlingfan1994 Thanks! To be honest we did this as an example of what the live action SW series *could* be (of course some real money would have put us closer to the mark ;) If someone up at the ranch decided that they liked it, we'd love to tell a few more stories on this planet.
@MoonDoggieFilms1 I thought this actually should be made into a movie, with your guys help to show what the rebel alliance did while they waited for the Jedi, this is epic
As a 501st member I realise just how much time and effort went into making this. It does have some issues, but overall an excellent plot, good costumes, and pretty good effects. Well done.
Thanks Kempspictures, half of the sets (the rebel base, the lower half of the town, the bar) were physically constructed, the rest were either built in maya or created in photoshop, then composited with aftereffects. Glad you liked it!
effects: ok Story: meh... ending: sucked black guy: awesome storm trooper without helm: part1: dosnt look like clone facepart2: looked like raywilliamjohnson acting:fine the luteniet's rank badge was switched around then came back a different officer didnt have a rank and one badge switched from yellow to orange the aliens looked like pigs and lizards(crap...maybe crap) everything was green screen explosion:.....what the crap did you use for that??!?!??!? microsoft movie maker?? 07??? @Tchalla5150 Wow, how old are you exactly? From a look at one of your videos, which I regret spending 5 seconds of my precious life on, I would say around 12? My main issue with this film, besides the atrocious acting, spotty FX and flat characters is the plot.
This guy really is hinging a lot on the hopes of fixing a lightsaber. I think that I would of just reworked the plot a little more and had him become proficient with it before making this plan of a revolution. Have it be an accident that people are talking about a Jedi and then that sparks his idea for revolt. Also I wouldn't of had one of the goals to reach the Rebels, just have them show up.
Realy good for a fan movie. Sure it has flaws but thats to eb expected. Good job even though i still think Escape from City17 is by far the best fan movie for ANY franchise.
This fan film was awesome. Sure, the battle scene was a little hokey, but for a fan film, without the expert coordinators and such, it was very very good, i doubt i could do better. Great job
This was a fan film by industry professionals who normally work in other positions. So it's not that amazing. Sad thing is it's better than some released b movies crap in theaters or on TV.
AWESOME. The prequels aren't this good. It's not about special effects, it's simple story telling. Surprisingly good edits, dialogue, acting. The bad guy was especially good. For a Star Wars fan(atic), this series is definitely worth watching. I hope they do more.
Doesn't matter if they'd done anything during the firing squad anyway. Storm troopers are such a poor shot they'd probably have just killed eachother and not the "criminals"
If the acting was better this would be a cool flick... But the acting is worse then failed b-side Barbie based space shows on si-fi. I think high school drama club kids would have been better. Honestly.
I've seen some terrible fan films in my time. But this is by far the best and most tolerable. Really well done.
I usually ignore poor special effects because its simply not possible to match the budget of feature films. Thus I only really take into account the acting and script. If those are good it doesn't matter to me how bad the special effects are.
I'm not generally one for fan films and typically avoid them but credit should go to where it's deserved. The acting was good and there was a solid storyline. I found myself intrigued to the very end and honestly wish there was more. Great job guys, your efforts definitely paid off.
@FLAMERAMPAGE SW universe is not about a person's attractiveness or looks, just look at bossk... or any other species for that matter.., Darth Maul had tooth decay!

@yardstickification Unfortunately a film is only as good as its worst aspect. Sure it is decent and they put alot of time into it but it does lack as a full project. its altogether very predictable, as I worked out the entire story from a few mins in, dialogue was boring and vfx were good in only a few places.
To grow you must learn from your mistakes and a perfect film is hard to find anyway. I'm constructively criticising this as a filmmaker myself, so therefore my opinion may differ.
@WanderingSpiritProd First off, I apologize for the double post I made initially. I didn't think my first one had gone though. I appreciate your opinion and very respectful reply to my post. It is a rarity. Maybe this film didn't have the most amazing story ever told. I happen to know someone on the crew who made the film, (so yes my opinion is somewhat biased) and a large part of the point of this project was to push the limits of what could be achieved with a limited budget and resources.
@yardstickification No worries. And yes it is amazing the resources that were put together for this film, people outside of filmmaking just looking in may never grip how much effort time and planning goes into the whole creative process. I absolutely love the sets, they blew me away....
