that buzzing sound you hear in the back ground is the fire dept. using some kinda of saw to cut through the bicycle locks that the protesters had used to chain themselves together. the firefighters were pouring water over the hands of the people to keep the heat down. i remember this girl crying cuz of the pain and this firefighter pouring water over her wrist and saying "its ok we're almost through we are almost done sweetie."
Oh and btw, if you've heard of the countless cases of misuse of the taser (deaths, serious injuries, etc)...you would have to be VERY dumb to approve of its use in non-aggressive situations.
Thank you again for the comment. If used appropriately it could be a very useful tool in police work in their protocols in the escalating use of force. But just to tase someone because they smarted off to them or to automatically tase someone "just in case they might 'resist arrest'" would be a very bad abuse
Thank you for the comment. The SFPD are not allowed to use Tasers. Recently a mentally disturbed women attacked two women officers with a butcher knife and they had to shoot her several times until she stopped. The less than lethal weapon,a bean bag gun, had not arrived yet.If they had tasers on their belts, they might have avoided it, although sometimes tasers have no affect on some people
Well...you must ask yourself...what does that situation have to do with this video? Were these people being violent or aggressive, or were they being nonviolent and not using any sort of aggressive action? There's a difference between self defense and physically aggressive action taken toward a person that is not being aggressive.
