lol wow you guys are way to impressed by this lol once you get high enough it all becomes about air its alot less about how strong your chops are although dont get me wrong you still need chops to play up that high but yea pretty much once you get up to F4 its all about pushing your air faster and faster

@stevewagner1123 yea its all about faster air speed..... usually i can play up to a Bb5 when im not playing on a piece and really thinking about air speed but in all honesty i dont get much real tone out of anything higher than a E5

@stevewagner1123 yea man its all about faster air speed once you get up that high.... on a good day i can play up Bb5 when im really sitting down thinking about air speed. When your playing the trombone you should always strive to make playing as easy as possible so when you play higher there needs to be a proper balance between your embouchure and air speed.

so can you actually play in that extreme tessatura or do you just hit the note and slide around? Eclipt, work all registers, relax, use air. Breathing Gym is good, Marsteller Exercises are good, David Vining Daily routines work well, and many other books. If you are losing notes then that means there is too much change in your embouchure. Try to move as little as possible.

no, i cant.. nobody can actually do it .. on tenor trombone those notes are not in position.. above high G it is very difficult to play accurately.. there s no too much change, my friend , believe me :) ..

@kovaxtromb Hi, I like the way you sound, so please don't take this as negative criticism. While it is true what you say that there is not much change in the embouchure at a certain level and it is hard to play accurately, but not impossible. Have you checked out the "High F Smackdown" here on youtube featuring Billy Bargetzi, Eddie Elsey, and Wes Funderburk?
