This song reminds me of the Sunday morning that my husband started kissing in the kitchen and then decided to spend the rest of the day in bed making love. This song seems to have played that whole day long! My husband died 20yrs ago. Every time I hear it, I can travel back in time and relive that beautiful day. Thank you for posting this song. Thank you Spyro Gyra!
Saw Earth Wind & Fire a couple of years ago and Spyro-Gyra opened for them. They were INCREDIBLE and got everyone ready for EW&F! It was a great way to open a concert - two GREAT BANDS!
This is one of only two sax songs that really move me, the other i'm still looking for, the composition is just musical platinum, (he says as he rolls shoulders). Super post. Peace.
i love this song. everytime i hear it, it makes me stop and think about all the wonderful things and how they will be gone if we dont protect the environment
When I hear this song it always takes me back to a trip to Key West all away from south Florida. It's like I see myself in my car going over a bridge above the ocean, the tropical wind blowing on my face in a sunny beautiful day, and of course this song playing...
Nice images. Fits very well with the music, an all-time Spyro Gyra classic. I met them after a concert a few years ago. Friendly guys and a great concert.
This is most definitely a happy song! a San Diego song! (my home town) it cheers me up every time I listen to it.....one my favorite contemporary jazz classics!!!!!
ok any Chicago people because this used to be a theme for a tv show that came on channel 5 hosted by a black female. Could someone please, please tell me the name?!
I Spryo Gyra. I love anything Spyro. Some socalled friend took the cd, but left the case so that I wouldn't notice it was missing. This brings back memories of Sunday's when my mother would open all the blinds in the house and put on Spyro albums and start cleaning. I would do my homework while listening and it was a joy for me. My children listened to it and love it, as well.
i love this i love this i remember when i was a little girl and my father his all frien and all my family al aropund the pool earin that music spyri gyra al jereaux bob james that make me cry in this time theres no one that play yhis wonderfull and magic music im a young girl but i love this grup please send me every u have by this grup i will enjoy it this mean so much for me

I have always enjoyed this song. It is one of those musical pieces that affects my emotions. Like being outside early in the morning, enjoying new sunshine!
Radio Host in Jamaica Neville "Uncle Neville" Willoughby had this as the theme of his programme, the Evening People Show on RJR for more than 20 years. Thanks for posting.
I had an album I think was called "Night Moves"? that this track was on along with Sad Cafe and a few others way back when music was music. I'm 40 years old and I've turned into my mother! Anyhoo, this one in particular I played until I had worn the grooves out. Magic! Any other blasts from the past that you remember?
"An oldie that this one reminds me of is "Feels so good" by Chuck Mangione"
Great comparison. If any music needs a comeback, it is this style. Give me Spyro Gyra, Weather Report, Earl Klugh, George Benson, The Manhatten Transfer, etc...etc...over anything being played today.
Raromo, thanks so much for this music. I think the live versions of Morning Dance on youtube by spyro gyra are very good, but I love this studio version for radio. I can't believe 900 views and only 8 fav's, are people nuts? Gracias!
Thank you again--can't beat great film or photos with great music! How about a similar nature montage to Sergio Mendez & Brasil 66's Samba--another old favorite? You'd do it right!

Yes, its is an alto sax by the quality of the sound. Also you may find actual videos of the group playing this song right here.
raromo 4 years ago 3
@Clevergamer 3 years? Look up Jay Beckenstein on wikipedia. He plays tenor, alto and soprano. Once used Selmer Mk IV then switched to Yamaha.
