I've owned quarter horses, paints, grade horses,thoroughbreds,ponies and my favorite above all others is the Arabian horse. One of most intelligent horses on the planet.Surely out smarts most humans!

Keep in mind that over half of the horse breeds out there go back to an Arabian!! Run with the Wind, the Arabian horses are the sports cars of the horse world. windsofcolor

You have a picture of my stallion at about 16 seconds. he is probably one of the most calm horses I have been around. Arabians are probably the smartest breed out there.

Arabians are sooo pretty but trust me you NEVER want one. I have one that I gave to my mom cause there REALLY stuborn. They get anoying pretty fast even though there pretty.

I've owned 6 arabians & 3 were great children/novice horses. One especially, Kallana. I still remember watching my tiny 7 year daughter climb up Kallana's front legs & up over her shoulders to get on her back & all the while this mare did not move a muscle. My daughter would also rap her arms & legs around her neck & swing from her neck. This mare had a very special relationship with my daughter.

i work and ride at an arab stud with 34 arabs and 3 part/non arabs.

i guess it depends on their surroundings as to weather thay are willing or hyper.

We have a relaxed yard and all the horses are relaxed. we never make them do things they dot wanna do.

It depends what you want a horse for. I mean they're amazingly talented and intelligent, but if you just want to teach your kid to ride or plod about in the fields, you probably shouldn't keep an arab because they need mental stimulation and physical work constantly. It's only if you don't give them enough to do that they get stubborn!
