I think that you have the same problem like me ! FSX take a lot of FPS than FS2004. I've got an Intel Centrino Core Duo 2  2.00GHz*.

I'm working on a Dual Core Prozzessor but my leptop just use the one Prozzessor ! But I have two of them that means : 2,00Ghz x2

The only proper comparison would be stock installations of each with no addons and both versions totally maxed out with all graphics sliders set to maximum. Saying your computer cannot handle that is not an excuse for crippling FSX and then comparing it to FS9. Not a fair comparison. Why not compare a Hyndai against a Ferrari running on two cylinders.

i own fs9 and fsx ....and fs global 2008... so guess what? i was flying in fs9 in cairo at the pyramids(with fs global add on) and the faces look horrible... in fsx, without any add on, it looks 5 times better, you can really recognize that faces :)

the only good thing about fs9, it has far more free helicopter add ons than fsx :(

If you want performance go with FS2004. There is almost no difference between the two. A real environment extreme will make it look better than FSX.

Do you know why FSX 'seems' worse? Well, FSX requires a better graphics card obviously. FS2004 pushed graphics cards of it's day to the max, FSX requires a better one. Run it on a high-level PC, then see which is better.

fs9 has betterfp in general, has MUCH more addons in both planes and scenery.

i could put a bloom effect and real environment pro and fsexcel to make fs2004 dominate fsx in graphics. with good fps too. i could put some awesome scenery with better looking jetways and ground service than fsx with still better fps, and more planes and tweaks.

Serious simmers enjoy fs2004 as there is a wider range of addons available, such as the PMDG 737NG and is more easilycustomisable. Casual Simmers prefer FSX Because they are - presumably like yourself - a spoilt brat, or somebody who doesn't take simming too seriously. Personally I Prefer FS9, some will disagree, it's not your place to show off.

@ChrisMiller1994 Actually, it depends on the system. FS2004 will normally appear better on older systems, while people with newer systems will prefer FSX. I prefer FSX not really because of the graphics, but the SDK and multiplayer options. It's not just the graphics, you know.

When my dad lets me udgrade my PC i will use FSX but rite now fs2004 is better. Just by fsglobal and some addon water textures and some AI traffic for fs9 and you get FSX
