@patron414 Nope, the 400 block casting is a different animal then a 350. If you want a big inch small block with a 350 casting you can however build a 408 (with a 4in stroker crank).
Just did a 433 running a set of All Pro heads from Clements porting service. heads flow over 352 @ .700. Motor is 14:1 running all the good stuff. Solid roller 780 / 735... 282 / 292 @ .50. callies crank, je pistons, quick fuel 1150cfm carb etc.
Motor made 785hp and 675ft. With a sheet metal manifold and dual carbs, this configuration would net an additional 50+ HP.
You see gregger454 it is possible to get 7-800 hp from a small block This sbc would humble most BB's without a nitrous shot.
gregger454 maybe you didn't notice this is a 434 sbc running 763hp which is not an amazing feat.... a nascar motor is a 358 with millions of dollars of r&d.... if you run the figures a nascar motor shouldn't even be able to run 600hp but due to the many hundreds of thousands of ppl that actually know wtf they're doin unlike you they are able to run 900+hp..... just cuz it has nitrous set up doesn't mean it being used....
@sbchp54 I second that. Some guys minds are stuck in the 70's where 2.02 fuelie heads were king, and a streetable small block was only good for 500hp tops. A large displacement small block of any brand with modern heads, cam profile, and intake, can readily make 700+ hp W/O the squeeze. I'm sure this engine probably has terrible street manners, but oh well. If you want that power and good street manners build an LS :-)
434 is a bad mofo our shop just built one with the holly injection setup and that thing is wicked ! im more into big chevy's but ive got a thing fore the 400 sbc and any stroker of of it . i run a 505 bbc but im building a 421 its going to be a sleeper engine
Your 434 is fucking ignorant. Fuck all these assholes talking shit they are just jealous. Im not afraid to admit you have a bad ass engine and you should be proud of it.
I don't understand how you can use ignorant as an adjective for an engine.... just doesn't seem to work. Please think, or have someone else think for you before posting.. thank you
hey jammer i seen 18* motors with 12.2-1 run in the 830 hp (engine dyno) range.High compression (13.5 and over)dont mean shit except less time between rebuilds not the mention the motor is a time bomb if you wanna turn up the wick on the nitrous.
high compression. in the description it says they used 112 octane fuel, which you only would want but also need in a high compression engine...prolly 13:1.....not very street friendly, but it would run and sound great
youre right! the right cam and heads are crucial. but it goes without saying. you can only get around 550hp with a small block on pump gas and no other help. randywyatt2000 was referring to this particular engine, which is a small block, but, without a blower or a turbo or nitrous there is no way it can produce 700+ horses without high compression...hence the 112 octane
Look @ :36 seconds. SEE THE WHITE w/BlUE Lettering Solenoid!!!! Spraying is the easy/cheap way. Or, tell me what those 2 little solenoid looking dealys are!! Racing: The fine Art of Cheating"
actually your prolly right cus normally if you build a race engine and use nitrous then youll use a special cam and lower compression pistons so prolly not . or maybe the 760 hp is before the sparay
@gregger454 a naturally aspirated 350 sbc that my brother built had 660 hp , for a 400+ cubic inch motor that kinda of power should not be hard to reach , sorry to burst your bubble bud
@klsnr1 well i have no video proof but i can tell you the specs : 350 bored .30 over forged steel crank, lightweight mahle rods, mahle 11cc domed pistons, chevy bowtie heads polished and milled .20 , comp cams intake rockers and harland sharp exaust, comp hi tech pushrods, oil galley drain , solid roller cam not sure on lift and duration , and brodiz aluminum intake 7' rise , solid comp cams lifters, and 850 cfm barry grant carb, we are planning on changing the heads intake crank and rods
why such a large engine for 763hp?

434 stroker with a factory 400 block should only be used for drag racing.

@patron414 you can build a 383 stroker with 350 just put a 440 crank in it and you will have to i think shortn ur rods

I built a stock bore, standard stroke 350 that produces 680hp on alcohol. A 434 putting out 700+ hp sounds realistic to me.

Was the 763hp on just motor or nitrous? Just wondered because I saw the nitrous solenoids by the carb.

they got power from the heads and cam. high compression doesn't just produce rediculous numbers automatically.
