The fishing industry is trying to get people to eat them. It doesn't taste that bad, and people in Asia have been eating this fish for thousands of years. The only reason people here won't eat it is because they associate it with the common carp which is just an awful-tasting fish. To encourage people to eat this fish it has been renamed Silverfin and Kentucky Tuna when sold in supermarkets.
