one thing i'd like to add: when sprinting, u do not breath on the first stroke. on every stroke u dont breath on the first stroke. it kills ur time. when ur off the block and ur breathing the first stroke, it kills the momentum u get from the dive. also when u kick off the wall and u breath the first stroke it kills the momemtum the kick off the wall gave u.
The guy has a few points off and is slightly outdated..
1. The whole point of being a good sprinter is to still have good technique while having the high turn-over. Technique should never be compromised in any race.
2. The updated technique for mainly the 50 freestyle is the straight-arm recovery/stroke which allows the swimmer to catch the water right as it enters the water, at the cost of high energy output.

thank for the tips. I should have watched this video b 4 swim sprinting with my friends, who beat me badly because i learn and apply TI method.
I dont mean to bash TI method, it actually help me with distance swiming, but for sprinting, try to learn it from another source

pretty good, but when he's swimming it looks like his hands are crossing over the middle at the front, and that slows you down a lot!
