First, I want to say thanks to NilesNL69 for posting this video. It is very enlightening. Because even though I knew of her marriage to him, I did not know how they had met, considering this was around the time that she was kicking it with MJ also. At first, I was confused like Michael was as to why Diana so abruptly got married. But, I can see now why she did, because this was truly a romantic love story. Which is what a woman wants, to be swept off her feet by a man.
That must have been terrible for her. I often wonder how people get over the loss of a loved one. And uh umm USA, why was this never aired on the USA network tv stations. I'm so sick of the USA's censorship.
I can't believe I'm seeing this. I had no idea it existed. I'm sad for her all over again. This gives a different perspective to the meaning of "Every Day is a New Day." Even after the divorce she still cared for him.
We can all take lessons for her on how to be a human being. She is so much more than an entertainer , shes a goddess, a mom , and a caring person. That's why i love her so.
Diana is such a beautiful and classy woman. She held her self up in this interview. There were times when she just looked like she wanted to cry, but she didn't.Very strong woman :)
Her life with Arne mirrors her role in Mahogany when she went to Europe to become a designer and left her home in Chicago only to find out that the photographer played by Anthony Perkins intentions where not right. He was killed in a car accident that he and Mahogany (Ross) where in. She was taken in by this European Billionaire who gave her a design studio to finish designing, but she became homesick for chicago and ended up moving back to her love (Billie Dee)...Good movie.
Touching and beautiful. So many people are anxious to find things about Diana to criticize, yet she never fails to be poised and gracious and intelligent. Thanks for the posting!
i just love the way ross is honored in norway. also good to see any interview posing intelligent and respectful questions instead of the trash that passes for journalism in the u.s. these days.
ive never seen this side of her before.every time i see her she's either dressed glamorous and very happy,or im hearing someone say how rudeand mean she is..but you never see or hear about her being sympathetic.i love this interview and i almost cried especially when she talked about her boys staying there and asking for help..so sad.
I have seen some interviews with miss Ross from Europe and especially if she is interwied in Sweden or Norway she is mutch more honest and personal... maybe because swedish people don't try to be a friend in a tv-show or be funny, but just ask good question and LISTEN!!!! Something David Letterman never do! This was touching...
I had to take a moment or two to say a profound thank you to NilesNL69 for posting this rare 2 part interview of Diana Ross in th aftermath of the death of Arne Naess. I'm sure I speak for many of Diana's fans when I say it is a privelege to be provided a window into her and her family's tragedy and the sorrow. I was completely riveted by her dignity, composure, and the rawness of her grief. God Bless you Miss Diana Ross!!!
Wow. When Diana pointed and said "You guys have to help me", I was moved. I also love that she cherishes both sides of all her children's backgrounds.

a very rare glimpse at seeing the humbleness of Ms. Diana Ross. You get to see her being very sincere.

@DaxShaw - yes, it was.

@NilesNL69 odd that she would agree to do one the same day. I guess she wanted to express her feelings or maybe just tell people how great he was

Didn't realize until just now that I was near tears throughout the entire video. When she asked for help, she just about broke my heart...:(

Brought tears to my eyes too Stephan; especially mid-way when she almost broke. Wow.
