I agree that opium production has gone through the roof in Astan, but although I can't say what the Regiment's mission is, I will say unequivocally that its mission is not to gaurd opium. Wrong....when you wear a flag patch on a uniform or on decal on a vehicle, the blue field and stars face forward.

So a flag patch on the right arm will have the stars forward.

This date back to when flag were used in battle. The field of blue and stars os on the flagstaff and lead the direction of combat, thus they face forward.
