I bought those "bush eyes" from cowlacious and they call them cave eyes. They are a greate effect, but don't get the super bright ones, they are too bright.
To make the box, just make a regular box out of plywood with 2x4 to hold it together. Then I used 1 1/2" foam to go all around the bottom. The top is completely made out of foam (2 pieces of 1 1/2") and use a belt a sander to give it a slanted top. Attach 3 hinges to it, use thick screws and glue them into the foam. But in a small fogger and a UV light and it is just creepy.
I am currently working on a how-to video for the un-dead body in a bag. Stay tuned
I use LED spots (7 or 18 LED) for highlighting the props. But to light up the entire yard, I have 3 par 56 can lights (2 one side of the yard and 1 on the other [dark side]). I then use a light blue filter on the one (highlights the dancing zombies and tree) and dark blue for everything else.

i see you used the 4shared account, i hear familiar soundtracks :), BTW my compressor is a 3gallon one... you think it ll hold up for one night of Halloween running two props, or do i need a reservoir tank,
You should have no problem, I run my entire yard from a 4 gallon. However as you add more props, you may care about how fast the tank fills back up. But unless you are using an air cannon, you have no nothing to worry about.
Awesome halloween, i want to get this detailed one day, im hopefully going to build my first pnuematic prop this year, my question is how do you keep the compressor quiet?
Assuming your compressor is somewhat portable, and if you have a basement, you can run it from there. I have also run mine from the back yard. It really doesn't matter how long your hose is, there is virtually no difference to your compressor if it is running 10 feet to your props or 100 feet.
Wow! Incredible and inspiring. Would love to see a tutorial on the dancing bride and groom. BTW, what video camera did you use to capture the footage? Mine NEVER captures my lighting so well.
I'm just wondering but could you tell me how many fog machines you use, and what modle they are?

I use 3, two Chauvet 1300 watt foggers and a 400 watt fogger for smaller places.

I get my LED spotlights from Minionsweb. I like them because they use a standard light socket (light stake) instead of wiring.

Like the artwork and detail you can tell you take your time building your props. Do you use actors in your haunt? Check out my website or my u-tube

Great job! Love what you did here. how did you get these great shots at night. My video camera sucks at taking night shots. What do you use?

I use a Canon Canon S5 to shoot the video. My secrete is I add more lights when I film.

Freaking amazing! You are the man. Way cool. Did you make the body in the bag with the grave digger holding the shovel?
YARDHAUNTER5 2 years ago
I made it for my 2008 haunt, but couldn't make it realistic enough. For 2009, I created the grave digger to go with it.
Thanks.
