  • Is that a rubber one? Sounds a bit muddy.

  • Labour without genius will do more in the long run than genius without labour.

  • Make the difficult easy and the easy profound.

Make the profound interesting and the interesting serious.

Make the serious amusing and the amusing even more amusing.

  • Take a chance on you.

  • Nice video and demonstration of techniques. Some instructors say not to bend your back over -- obviously you disagree?

  • Cajon Pearl... PERFECT

    Pearl is made in Japan

  • Objetivo!! Muito bom!! Very Good!

  • Anyone know the best place place to get one? musiciansfriend has some ok ones but I was wondering if there was somewhere better or a custom place.

  • wtf?! 2:08 how?! please tell

  • @bigmike784

You can do that technique on almost any hand drum. You drag the slightly padded part of your finger across the surface of the drum with just enough pressure for it to kind of stick but not completely stop in place so that your finger vibrates rapidly across the surface of the drum. Its not hard, but exactly how you do it will vary depending upon the finish of the drum, the wood grain, your finger oils, etc.

  • are some cajons just empty and do some have something inside?

  • 1:41 to the end...incredible

  • Thanks for all the lessons.....

  • that CAJON doesnt sound the way the one does...the original is from peru and its used to play African Peruvian Music such as festejo, panalivio, marineras, and so on

  • @SiKuri2009 hi Sikuri, no many people really knows about the real cajon history, but believe me here in Germany many people love it, and thats what I am trying to do, I know they do not really care but I will tell them; no matter if they care or not :d, But yeah, el cajon tiene ahora otros ritmos. Saludos.

  • its called the skoon or glissando and is used mostly on congas and frame drums.

@Kingdomcritics12 sorry i wanted to click on reply instead of spam xD

  • i think u just push down and run ur fingers along the wooden bit, but i'm not sure

  • how did you do the drum roll with the 1 hand?

  • awesome dood.... keep posting... i learn a lot of style...

  • This is a good demonstration of a how to use a cajon as a mini-drum set. Like it very much. COOL!!

  • nice pants.

  • wow cool i like the m16 sound like...cool...astig...where did u buy that?...not the cajon the skills..hehe..coz i better buy one

  • thanks for uploading..it really helps..by the way, i love your outfit maannn! :)

  • How do you produce the sound made at 2:09?

  • I kinda think it may be the friction of his finger pushing against the cajons front, he let's it kinda dribble along the surface. But I'm just guessing. idk for sure.

  • I can't tell if it his finger tips on the out stretched fingers or his nails on the folded fingers....

His Cajon must be pretty broken in though. I hear that a broken in cajon has more sounds and character.

  • oleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • mon dieu c'est quoi ce pantalon????!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ça existe?! lol je déconne

c'est vraiment cool comme instrument je trouve, jsuis bine tenté de m'y mettre
