  • I think he actually had a good career, unnoticed by record companies. I believe italianoperafan has an audio performance in which he plays Leoporello; you might try bugging him/her to post the big arias. (Interestingly enough, van Dam plays the Don in that performance.)

  • I always saw Jose Van Dam as somebody who make a good Don. I just never really saw him as Leporello, of course I have come accustomed to Ferruccio Furlanetto's Buffo version.
