I know many hardcore 80's fans would call me a Liar (Megadeth song... =) ) for liking both Metallica and Megadeth. Metallica is a great band and I like their older stuff A LOT (Whiplash, Seek and Destroy, etc.) A Megadeth is a great fast thrash band.

I think that Dave had a very diffrent point of view in the 90's and 80's. He wanted to 'beat' Metallica you know. And he never did if you look at sales statistics and such. Hence the "all you've done turned into gold lars, and all ive done turned into shit" quote.

He seem to have left all that behind nowadays. Maybe Because Megadeth's still putting out great albums while Metallica's last good album were the black album. He seems a lot mor humble nowadays too.
