  • Can you imagine this cracky yet legendary voice would become a powerful, strong voice? (take Under Pressure - Live at Wembley '86 as the biggest exemple)

  • well, whatever you say, I love that! :))

  • oh boy, ms. bulsara & fans of the hectics encouraged/egged him on quite a bit!

  • it is incredible to compare this to later versions. he must have worked so hard to have got his voice to the point of perfection.

  • Freddie trained all his life to get his voice... this is when he had just started singing so that's why he sounds quite bad.

  • FREDDIE IS A GREAT!!!

  • Totally INCREDIBLE !!! What an eruption of energy and power. This is what rock and roll sounds like when it comes from the gut.

  • Wow, so interesting to hear how hard Fred worked to get control over his voice by the time of Queen. The voice was definitely there -dear God was it there! - he just didn't have the control over it.

Even with his natural talent, he still had to work really hard and that's inspiring. Well it would be if I were young. :-)

  • Bass out of tune fucks it all up !

  • wow, Freddie's bandmates really suck. hahaha

  • @sherhrtatk at least the guitarist is.... OK?

  • I w as talking Brian May added possibly added some input when Freddie gave it QUeen, not while in Ibex. But no matter let's enjoy this mans angelic voice of many splendours.

  • Freddie brought his own interpretation of jailhouse rock from wreckage over to Queen. but i'm sure Brian May helped him arrange some parts in the song.

  • When Ibex play that song brian didn't play with Freddie...... In 1969 Brian play in Smile. But Freddie and Brian was a friends.

  • Que raro lo único que se reconoce es la voz de Freddie Mercury!

  • Did they ever produce an album?

  • seems like they made some live performances, and all the song demos that goes around youtube by today. No album produced but a couple of their songs went into some Freddie's greatest solos release.

  • @UltravioletShanghai nope and no offense to fred but thank god they didnt!!!

  • Freddie rocks!

  • where did you get this song from?

  • „ø¤º°¨„ø¤º°¨°º¤ø„¸¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ º¤ø„¸

  • I liked it so much! Thanks, David

  • Oh, I love Freddie's pre-Queen voice it's so...amazing!

  • I bet back then the people were like "Freddie Bulsara won't get anywhere in life"

Today he's known as the best live performer and best male vocalist of all time

  • when Freddie was unknown........

    funny!

  • hahahahah.... 3:33 minutes of

    bad bass solo..... hahha

    wtf!

  • Baby Freddie hahaha! I love it :)

  • Bassplayer isnt that good..

  • Ibex doesn't really sucks, it's just that the recording equipment was cheap. If you were there live it would have sounded a lot better, I guarantee it :)

  • Too bad they didn't record this in a real studio. That would really sound good.

  • Freddie Rox Ibex sux

  • they are members of Ibex.

  • dude who playing guitar was Mike Bersin

  • Great video thank-you DaveR. Freddie rocks.

  • The guitar, bass (if there is one), and drums aren't together at all...

Best part of Ibex was Freddie

  • I can't remember who's it....so just in case I am, tag, love. ;) Freddie sounded strange here, a bit weedy, good and bad, but thanks for sharing this video great to get a perspective on these things!
