Can you imagine this cracky yet legendary voice would become a powerful, strong voice? (take Under Pressure - Live at Wembley '86 as the biggest exemple)
Wow, so interesting to hear how hard Fred worked to get control over his voice by the time of Queen. The voice was definitely there -dear God was it there! - he just didn't have the control over it.
Even with his natural talent, he still had to work really hard and that's inspiring. Well it would be if I were young. :-)
I w as talking Brian May added possibly added some input when Freddie gave it QUeen, not while in Ibex. But no matter let's enjoy this mans angelic voice of many splendours.
Freddie brought his own interpretation of jailhouse rock from wreckage over to Queen. but i'm sure Brian May helped him arrange some parts in the song.
seems like they made some live performances, and all the song demos that goes around youtube by today. No album produced but a couple of their songs went into some Freddie's greatest solos release.
Ibex doesn't really sucks, it's just that the recording equipment was cheap. If you were there live it would have sounded a lot better, I guarantee it :)
I can't remember who's it....so just in case I am, tag, love. ;) Freddie sounded strange here, a bit weedy, good and bad, but thanks for sharing this video great to get a perspective on these things!

oh boy, ms. bulsara & fans of the hectics encouraged/egged him on quite a bit!

it is incredible to compare this to later versions. he must have worked so hard to have got his voice to the point of perfection.

Freddie trained all his life to get his voice... this is when he had just started singing so that's why he sounds quite bad.

Totally INCREDIBLE !!! What an eruption of energy and power. This is what rock and roll sounds like when it comes from the gut.
