Obama has promised no rationing of healthcare, no long lines to see doctors. Not true. Or at least not true for the largest consumers of healthcare, the elderly. Obama plans to pay for his $1.6 trillion plan, in part, by cutting $500 billion in spending for Medicare. At a time when the number of Medicare recipients is growing every year, Obama is going to CUT SPENDING for this group. Your granny and grandpa are not going to get the healthcare they need under this plan.

In the words of Mary Poppins, Obama is making pie crust promises - "easily made, easily broken." People have good reason not to believe him when he says there will not be any long lines. This plan is destroying the Democrat party. According to Rasmussen Reports, in a generic poll Republicans beat Democrats 43% to 38%. Republicans will probably take over Congress in 2010. Sarah Palin brought up the death panels and people are very upset. Now Democratic congressmen are saying they are willing to drop the death panels provision. This is a huge win for Sarah Palin. She dominated Obama. She is the Obamanator! Anyway, more work needs to be done. The entire bill needs to be defeated. Palin will be a leading opponent of this plan.

About 80% of Americans like their present health insurance. Obama says you can keep your insurance plan if you like it. Not true. Pages 16-17 of the bill say no new health plans can be offered by private insurance companies. Do you understand what that means? Insurance plans change every year. They change coverage slightly or change the co-pay or the co-insurance. Every tweak creates a new plan. So you keep your current plan for one year, then it is on to the govt plan for you! Obama is lying!

Italy has the second best healthcare in the world under public healthcare. Why wouldn't someone who patriotic and loves their country want such reform for America. Its clear that what is best for American families is not in the interest of these detractors.

I agree... The US should sell all its hospitals to Italy. We sold Chrysler to them becasue we can't build cars; why not give Italy all our healthcare industry?
