  • @MrMattRocker I'd say that Eddie Cochran version in pure rockabilly style is pretty good too!

  • Awesome !

  • THANK YAA,THANKYYOU VERY MUCH.TIMELESS. EP YOU ARE STILL COOL.

  • thanks for sharing!

  • best version of this song ever, including Little Richard who I am a fan of.

  • YES YES YES!! This is why he is #1 Forever!!!

  • A lot better then Pat Boon but Little Richard was the king of Long tall Sally. However back in those days Elvis could sing black music[which i like] better then any of the white singers. He was a natural.

  • @buddimack Very fair comment! :) Not like those anti Elvis one's that said he sucked! :)

  • @buddimack I'm a diehard Elvis fan but I totally agree. Little Richard is the only one who did his songs better than the ones of his Elvis covered, but Elvis did hold his own.

  • SOUND IS FROM 5/16/56. LITTLE ROCK. ITS available on many cds

  • man what a gig this must have been...

  • Thank you so much Elvis the king

  • thanks so much for this excellent post. even tho the sound is dubbed it works perfectly & the footage is priceless. i love the way Elvis crosses his arms at :55, coolest guy ever, then & now

  • During the 1950s the FBI filmed numerous Elvis concerts. I wonder if this is one of those...

  • Is Elvis Actually singing in this Video or ar you overdubbing a CD to go along with this Video?

  • @TheFarmerfitz The sound is overdubbed.

  • Oh what a world it would be if Elvis were still with us!!!

  • PRECIOUS, PRICELESS footage!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this.

This is Elvis Presley, not that bloated, drug-addled man in a white jumpsuit.

  • @berrygirl964 Come on now. You talk like Elvis was two different people.

  • @donn409, Actually, he was... as most of us are. We all have different sides to us,and go through stages and changes in our lives. None of us stays the exact same.

  • @berrygirl964 Yes, everyone's life experiences can change someone throughout their life but they are still themselves.

  • @Burner1966,

You obviously misunderstood what I said. Nowhere did I diss Elvis' music- or his songs. I happen to love all the ones you mentioned. I was referring to his pitiful physical persona on stage in his last years. It's ok to have differing opinions and disagree, but to use profanity and call someones remarks "stupid" is way out of line.

  • @berrygirl964 it is a shame what happened to elvis but.you spend 20 + yrs in the rock n roll bussiness and see how you end up.Lots of drugs in the entertainment field and many a good men and women have fell prey to them.I was really sad when he died.when I found out drugs were involved it didnt make me like him less.Just made it more tradgic.always wondered if it could have been suicide. would explain massive amount of drugs in system.and the uncashed life insurance policy ive always heard about

  • @smithdsmit By all accounts Elvis started using when he was in the Army not b/c he was in the music biz. My younger bro is a career felon and drug user. My father and ex were alcoholics. I know what hell addicts put their loved ones through. I have little empathy for them. Their selfish, irresponsible behaviors destroy more than themselves. Elvis was a very rich man and could have gotten help. He made the choice not to. I adore the man's music but I don't excuse or condone his behavior.

  • @berrygirl964 i heard he used speed to keep awake while he was in the army as many did to help stay awake. My dad used speed as a trucker to keep from falling asleep.wasnt right for him to do but it did kept him from falling a sleep and getting in an accident.I know elvis choose to do drugs.bad choice.he could have gotten help yes.but at time if his drug habbit got out he would have lost carreeer.I wish he had gotten sober.its very hard to do.i stopped drinking almost 10 yrs ago.was very hard

  • @smithdsmit I would really much like to know where you've heard of this insurance policy, i'm writing an essay about his death

  • @HanSomKan1 I believe i seen it on a Eraldo Rivera show many yrs ago. topic was weather elvis was really dead or not.I believe he is. but one of the points made for him faking his death was that no one ever cashed in his life insurance policy.so they believed he faked his death. But to me,A more lodgical conclusion could be that he took his own life because in a suicide. life insurance does not pay out. do a search. type in elvis preselys uncashed life insurance. you will find info on it

  • @smithdsmit Thank you for responding

  • Dig the leg work....The Elvis Shuffle.

  • awesome !

    Damn ! I wish i had borned during the 40's T_T

  • Fantastic! To those that say Elvis' version is garbage, opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one.

  • great song

  • great clip

    thanks for sharing

  • holy shit!

  • This proves my point. Elvis was the total package. Every entertainer that came after him from the Beatles to Michael Jackson followed in his footsteps.

  • The King!
