  • Absolutely LOVE the music and the vocals. I'm from the US & don't understand the language; however, I still FEEL the emotion! As an African-American, this music takes me to a familiar place that I've never been :-) Thanks for posting. Wondering how Americans can gain access to purchasing more music from South Africa. There is such a vast array of wonderful music coming from there; songs are phenomenal!!! Suggestions any1?

  • @rham1994 Try online, I don't know which state in the USA you are in, but generally, MOST diaspora shops can direct you to South African music from across all genres&decades, actually. I'm Southern African, live in Holland and I've never struggled to find things and music from home online, so I don't think you would struggle, even in person because there are loads of Batswana, South Africans, Zimbabweans etc who sell music from that region. Try "musica.dot.co.dot.za" for inspiration.

  • @Ndakanatswa... Bless you! Found a lot of the artists I've been enjoying & hearing on the Africa Channel. We're Texans :-) U r the bomb!!!

  • @rham1994 may be contact the record company directly to see where they are distributing in the States. Shops like Sterns in London would have had this but they may be closed..HMV and Virgin record shops might have been able to help back in the day. If I find out more I'll let you know. Peace and strength

  • Thank you! I absolutely love this song

  • yu dont need to understand the language to feel the depth of her music, she is just magnificent

  • Hello , could someone please upload the lyrics and also the translation to English of this song's lyrics? Thanks.

  • @andresabre the song is about a woman who has had enough of her husband, and she's explaining what her problem is and also pleading with her family to return the lobola(dowry) they received to her husband and in turn allow her to divorce him. The woman speaking through this song then explains to her family why she wants a divorce: the reason being that he now constantly picks at her, and that she feels that her home has turned into a battlefield and a jail for her.
