High taxes do not mean a high level of interference by the government in the domestic civilian economy. And as for what you described, it is a limitation of competition, upon which capitalism thrives. Many of the consumer-industrial oligopolies we have are to limit competition. That's not capitalism.
I believe that capitolism did not go far enough, not even in the U.S. Whether it is a government imposing high taxes, or a corporate interprize limiting competition, like when the drug companies downplay natural medicine in the media and legislation passed to limit access to it, either way, it creates a society of elitists and is meant to limit our prosperity and well being.
