Wow you can see how much free space there was in 1985, near the Twin Towers complex. It is even filled with more skyscrapers now. Somebody in a documentary was right, when they built the Twin Towers our civilization began.
I think they may have majorly changed the exit ramps of the Brooklyn Bridge since then. Am I right? I think now the ramps are much shorter and there is a pedestrian walkway all through the middle.
i wish i visted it in 2004 we went to new york it was this vacation we did from our hometown in Florida all the way up to Canada with our rv i wish the wtc was still there
The foundations are poured and steel on several components (towers 1, 4 and the memorial) has started to go up... to change plans now would cost billions of dollars and at least three years of even MORE delays.
AGREED, I always said they should rebuild the WTC (Twin Towers) stronger, better and like you said more efficient! OF COURSE with a memorial for the september 11th attack victims at the bottom floors or a park of the WTC! When they showed that "Freedom Tower" as da new WTC rebuild I said that LOOKS LIKE SHIT!!!!! its so ugly!!!

I agree. NYC is SOO much better today than it once was. Although shameful to admit, we have to partially thank 9/11 for that. For New York to be considered one of the safest cities in the country would be thought of as inconceivably laughable back then.
My mom used to tell me stories all the time of how everyone was afraid of New York back in the 70s and 80s.
I was there in the 90s. Amazing. Such a shame they made a contest to build a new WTC. They should rebuild these towers. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Brings back memories.
