@audiopro316 Hi wonder if anyone could help me. Im looking for the fight where hulk hogan and his opponent get knocked out at the same time and lay there for ages on the floor. Just remember it being so exciting. Would love to find it. Anyone out there know?
@shubz1223 Wrong, Terry Bollea aka Hulk Hogan is 58 years old going on 59. He was born August 11, 1953 so you do the math. Trust me everybody in wrestling and in all sports and professions and trades do it for the money. we all try to make a living cause as well all know nothing is for free.
well that gayest thing ever in wwf history is what made wrestling what it is today. without it guys (like savage) would never of had a career. plus its an elbow, not that spectacular
The thing is the money in Hogans latter runs was him chasing the title! Savage was one of the few who had credibility enought to hold it and have that what if factor against Hogan. Savage was 10x the worker of Hogan. But Hogan was the draw. Sad but true. Macho was one of the best wrestlers in history but had the "bad luck" of being in the same time frame as Hogan and Flair....and historically he traded his titles mostly with those two!
there are a lot of guys who have incredible wrestling talent. there always have been and always will be. i understand what your saying about savage having the bad luck of being in his prime at the same time as hogan, but flair is not a factor. and savage only lost world titles to flair and hogan, no one else. wrestling talent does not win you the belt, how much money you can bring in does. in that era your career was not measured in world title wins people forget that
@radicalman33 I see what your saying and do agree! However, wearing the world title signifies that you are the best in that company. Savage, on a whole, was the best in that company. Hogan was the chosen one (rightfully arguable) Cena is not the best in the company based on a pure wrestling standpoint...but damn that dude can draw (106 million is his WWE worth) I totally get it. I only used Flair as an example because he was Hogans Contemporary in a rival company. He was a factor in my opinion.
wearing the title has nothing to do with signifying that you are the best in the company. when looking at it as a child it does, but not in reality. but when you are a child you think that hulk hogan and ultimate warrior are the best wrestlers in the world. savage was a terrific wrestler, but so where many others. none of those guys got the belt because the world champ is the face, not the wrestler. thats what the IC belt was for. great wrestlers held the IC title then
@radicalman33 Thanks for your response! I will have to say that wearing the title does signify that you are the best! To further expalin in wrestling terms...you are the man the company has decided to push an build around. So yes, it does signify you as being "deemed" the best. Santino and Barry-O would never hold that title because they are indeed not viewed as viable title holders. I think u misunderstood why i was saying that. IC title was indeed the "work horse" title!
being "deemed" the best and being the best are 2 different things. like you said savage was (perhaps) the best in the company, but he was not deemed that way because in that era wrestling was becoming more about bodyslams and big guys like hogan. i understand what you mean by saying savage had the credibility to hold the title and i agree with you. i think we are on the same page, but because we discussing this by text on youtube we are misunderstand each other.
i hate when ppl make comments saying "this guy was underrated. he never got a run with the world/IC title." they just fail to realize that just because today belts are passed around every other month doesnt mean that back in the day having a sucsessful wrestling career didnt mean you had the belt. i got into an arguement about rick rude. they thought he was underrated because he never won the WWF title. they fail to realize that in that era he did his job perfectly
at that point you didnt need any wrestling skill. you had to be a big strong guy who could throw others around. and the warrior was just that, and the fans loved it. he would have held the world title longer if hogan didnt come back
I liked the censor ending better. Savage carried Hogan in this and every other match they worked together. Screw Hogan and his ego! Savage first ballot Hall of Famer in my book!
If the WWE releases a Hogan vs Savage rivalry DVD it will be the most one sided video they will ever produce. Savage may have a dq win and maybe a countout win against Hogan but aside from those wins, Hogan pinned Savage every single time. Where's the "rivalry"? Hogan should have put over Savage at least once....
@Neomac316 I agree, have you noticed of how Hogan was always made the winner in both WWE and WCW.I thought it was complete crap because Hogan was not a better wrestler than Savage not a damn bit
Lucky for Hogan, Randy Savage was a real pro and always did business. Savage put Hogan over so many times, but Hogan never returned the favor. Savage was a great athlete and cared about giving the fans a great show. Hogan was an egomaniac who cared only about himself.
@skillee, are you kidding? None of this stuff is exactly "inside information." In fact, it's pretty easy to find if you're interested enough to look for yourself. Otherwise, which "stuff" specifically are you inquiring about? We can talk about it.
Three punches, a kick to the face, and a legdrop beats Macho...after macho basically owned the entire match. I think Jesse nailed this one "MAKES ME SICK!" Reminds me of a lot of John Cena matches.
Savage was such a superior wrestler compared to Hogan! Skill wise, Hogan had couldn't tell the difference between a suplex and a pile driver, while Savage was one of the most talented wrestlers of all time! I don't understand why Randy wasn't given a bigger spotlight!
@SheriffTankStoner I meant more that Hogan hit DiBiasie with the chair and interfered with the match so Macho couldn't win the belt without any help from Hogan.
@GBev2K I know but I had to mention what I did because Imagine that Vince was pissed because hogan did for free what he already paid Robin Leach to do.
The Savage flying elbow is undoubtedly one of the most epic finishers in WWF history, but really, whatcha gonna do when HULKAMANIA .. runs wild... on YOU!!?
Savage is involved in 3 of my favorite matches of all time: WM III vs Steamboat, WM V vs. Hogan, WM VII vs. Warrior. Every other year, and unfortunately Savage lost all 3. :(
Does anyone have the Hulkster and Miss Elizabeth sex tape from this night?

Hulk Hogan's invincible mode= the gayest thing in WWF history.
You don't kick out of Savages devastating flying elbow smash and have him go down with that terrible finisher you call a leg drop.

It pissed me off that Macho was always forced to play second fiddle to Hogan. Even when he won at Wrestlemania IV Hogan had to be involved somehow.

@GBev2K Hogan grabbing the belt to give to Macho Man must've been improvised because Robin Leach was supposed to present the title belt to Savage.
