  • @DeathIzurfriend Is it ever - H2? NEVAH!

  • those gas inside the test tube is full with hydrogen......

  • why are thye saying there calcium in bottled water?

  • looks a little like what uncle does in our backyard shed, except the end result is usually a white powder...

  • I read somewhere that the military uses this technique to heat up there rations.

  • I don't get it? It's just making bubbles lol! This guy is a TERRORIST!! Patriot Act TAKE HIM AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pop test?

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* is calcium pure

    Ca + 2xH2O = Ca(OH)2 + H2

And dihydrogen gaz have created !

Other, the calcium metal is under of water

you know, lithium sodium is on of the water ! *=* A+

  • its weird how youtubers apear to be like doctors, lawyers, scientists or experienced gunners on certain videos.

  • They "appear" to be because either 1: Cosplay. 2: Filming someone else. 3: A screen recorded video.

  • stupid

  • Duffbeer4545: in your profile you say you are computer game crazy. So welcome in your own "club" :)

  • Nerds got the ability to shove the hydrogen gas inside your ass and burn it baby, burn it.

  • Actually, chemicals don't have sexual orientations.

  • @LunaticBob99 lol

  • @LunaticBob99 Except for tungsten, everybody knows he's a faggot.

  • @lollol336 lmao

  • Damn straight, fool.

    NERD PRIDE BITCH

  • More commonly the reaction is

    Ca (S) + 2H2O -> H2 + Ca(OH)2

  • Ca(s) + H20(l) = CaO(s) + H2(g)

  • What gas where made then?

  • It produced hydrogen gas,

    Ca(s)+H2O(l)=CaO(s)+H2(g)

  • yay hydrogen

  • lol i mean calcium

  • Actually no its not the same as with lithium, and rubidium. Alkali metals have a violent reaction with water. Magnesium is a alkaline earth metal and has a different reaction with water. In this case it probably producing hydrogen and magnesium oxide i'm not really sure.

  • doensnt it produce hydrogen??? cuz thats wut happens with sodium and lithium and rubidium? but there each more reactive with water starting with rubidium, sodium, lithium, then calcium right?

  • Everyone arguing on here is a loser so stop it...read the title...shut the hell up...thanks.

  • u both ruin the comments... go make out and stfu!

  • so is this what happens when i take a calcium supplement with water ?

  • No, the calcium supplement is most likely something like calcium nitrate, which will not react.

  • It is Calcium Carbide producing acetylene

  • if youre not joking, go die.

  • i could care less about your english...but either way, you were ignorant enough to overlook the basic fact that the FLAME from potassium's violent reaction with water has a characteristic violet color - the water does not change color unless in the presence of an indicator.

  • you sir, are the stupidest little shit, so far, to make a comment regarding this video. if it was lithium, the reaction would be much more vigorous and the large quantities of hydrogen given off during a lithium reaction would allow the lithium to float to the top. i am assuming you have never seen a calcium w/ water reaction before (or lithium w/ water, for that matter) so you have every right to keep your uninformed mouth shut. get your facts straight.

im happier in person, believe me. :D

  • yes, as stated in the other comment, i posted that to the wrong video because youtube's comment thing gets messed up when you click the link at the end of a video, check the flammable ice one it directs you to at the end of this one.

  • so ity makes hydrogen, ha i wuz right

  • LITHIUM MAKES A RED FLAME RETARD!! goch ur stupid lol

  • i wasnt here to correct your english, but while im here, i might as well. my "fuck you" is way more "inteligent" than your poorly-grammaticized reply. for starters, try "those are" instead of "thats"...oh, and even a 5th grader knows that 'intelligent' has TWO l's, asshole. back to chemistry, if that was potassium, youd be seeing alot more than just [slow] fizzing.

  • FUCK YOU

  • Potassium reacts violently, dumbass

  • Ca + 2H2O ---> Ca(OH)2 + H2
