Carlin was wrong about many things, but mostly he was on point because his heart was in the right place. Carlin OWNED Stern the same way he owned virtually everyone else--by telling the truth, for the most part. Stern is, was, & always will be, just a shock jock. Not relevant when it comes to anything important at all. He simply took advantage of being able to make a lot of $ by being vulgar. Had he come up later, he would not have amounted to shit. Carlin however, will remain a true legend.

He was trying to justify why he only had Carlin on once and then banned him by saying he has to worry about what the listeners are thinking and he wasnt sure if his audience gets Carlins humor.... One of the most successful comedians ever, 10+ HBO specials and Howard doesnt think his audience could understand. Howard must not think much of his listeners. I doubt Howard thinks that low of us, I believe Howard was told not to have him on.
