The original sound of goth is dark and brooding, joy division is credited as being the first band with that dark and brooding gothic sound, also bridged off and help spawn techo and industrial after ian's death. Goth music is how they sound not how they dress. This is one of the more Jazzy songs this is the furthest from a gothic sound and the Cure doesn't really have that dark brooding sound on 90% of there songs 'Lullaby' is about the creepiest they get. But it's just music and it's all good.

Just a bit ago, they were playing this on the TVs in my college cafeteria. I looked up and I was like...Is that the Cure? o.O And I kept watching it until it said what band and song it was and I was so excited, because Love Cats is my second favorite Cure song.
