The asgard ship you've seen was in the battle with the ori ships.

And this time they didn't have beam weps. They come some episodes later

Earth does not have the resources to mass produce the Daedalus class ship.

...They have six... (Daedalus, Odyssey, Apollo, Sun Tzu, Hammond/Phoenix, Korolev). But, to be fair, they did give Korolev to the Russians...so, technically, they have five.  Still a boat load of Daedalus-Class Battle Cruisers. But, I suppose making like, twenty or so would be VERY costly, but given the Asgard beams (now called the "Main Battery," which I like), each one is its own force to be reckoned with.
