  • haha 1:52 great action is kind of a joke right?

  • How is this a YJM Strat?...cuz it's yellow? LOL..where is the Scalloped Fretboard, Dunlop 6000 Frets, Brass Nut, DiMarzio pickups, Aged plastic parts, Vintage Synchronized Tremolo and Schaller F Machine heads? There is much more to a guitar than color. WOW!

  • really Nice job

I Would LIke To Do That on mine

SCallop Fretboard next, And it's done :3

  • Ummm, it's still a squire strat

  • how to build a Y.J.M whit Black Sabbat as backing music LOL

  • I bought it from a local music store

  • As much as it does look pretty nice, you missed out the crucial point, the lacquer.

Without a poly or nitro (I believe there are others but these are the main ones) finish ontop of your paint you'll lose the paint job pretty fast, if you used one of those paints that have nitro lacquer in them ignore this.

And To be honest this is just a yellow strat! Where are the scallops!?

  • They are so shallow they don't show up so well.

And i want it to age a bit but to be honest i don't play it enough for the lack of a finish to be a problem.

  • what is the back ground music?

  • Iron Man. It was the only thing that Movie maker would accept for some reason.

  • did you stick the decal on? i wont tell fender!

  • On the headstock?

    Yeah its a fake.

  • where did you get it from?

  • nice job but the action on that guitar is really high. you should lower it

  • I raised it for 2 reasons. 1. I really like higher action. And 2. Yngwie keeps his pretty high so When coupled with scalloped frets the control over vibrato is godly.

  • i dont believe that at all. thats like, un playable. besides, yngwies action is no where near that high on his guitars. the action is pretty low except for the low strings but still nothing compared to yours.

  • then you will be happy to know I lowered it.

  • yes actually. i think i peed to be honest.haha

  • u didnt apply finish or buff it?

  • Nope. 1 primer and one paint. Might rub it down with a light rubbing compound.

  • I want it to age a bit.

  • what about sanding in between coats for a smoother finish, especially if you were to use more than 1 coat of primer?

I thought the original design was pretty nifty!

did the color scheme of the original just...uh... not speak to you as much as !!!!!YELLOW!!!!!! did?

  • I want my audience to be blinded by my guitar.

  • DAAAAAAAAA MY EYES!

  • pretty cool!

it would been cooler if you had scalloped the fretboard, or just bought one scalloped. it still would have been cheaper than buying a yngwie malmsteen signature strat.

great job picking out the right shade of yellow

  • I might do it myself. i tried it on an older squier and it turned out okay. I will try to scallop it over the summer.
